Tangerang – Multimedia Nusantara University held a Senate Open Session and Inaugural Lecture to welcome UMN New Students 2023 on Friday (25/08). To invite 2023 New Students to recognize the world of Artificial Intelligence.
We have entered the Industrial Revolution 4.0, where technology is very advanced. Nowadays, we are developing more and more because of technology. One of the technologies that are widely discussed today is Artificial Intelligence. Artificial Intelligence is artificial intelligence using technology in the field of computer science.
The Open Session of the Senate and the inaugural lecture is one of the top series of events from OMB UMN, held annually as a form of admission for new Multimedia Nusantara University students. In the 2023/2024 academic year, the inaugural lecture was held on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Multimedia Nusantara University.
This year’s inaugural lecture carries the theme “Excellence with Artificial Intelligence (AI).” Students were invited to learn more about Artificial Intelligence (AI) in this senate session. So that students will be more aware of current technological developments and are not unfamiliar with the world of AI.
Attended by UMN Rector Dr. Ninok Leksono, who warmly welcomed UMN 2023 New Students. The rector also advised students to be responsible and disciplined students. He is also happy that new students do not hesitate to make new friends on campus.

“Being a student, there is a selection of intelligence and abilities that make them a person of choice. So, students also need to be responsible for small things so they can deal with bigger things. Higher Education graduation is not only for a diploma but also to contribute to improving life, nation and people of Indonesia,” Ninok said during the Inaugural Lecture.
This inaugural lecture was also attended by Citra Giofany, S.E., MBA, a speaker who is also an alumnus of the UMN Management Study Program 2013 and currently a Global Account Director Strategic Conglomerate at SAP Indonesia.
Citra conveyed many things and about how AI works. According to her, the use of AI will not be able to replace human intelligence because AI is also designed by humans.
“AI itself will not be able to replace human intelligence because humans make AI itself, but we as humans can use AI wisely, such as water usage in businesses, companies, so that it helps us and does not harm us,” She said during the presentation of the material.
In this inaugural lecture, UMN 2023 New Students also said their student pledge loudly and enthusiastically. The 2023/2024 Odd Semester lectures will begin on Monday, August 27, 2023.
