New Student Enrollment Pathways in UMN

The new student registration paths at UMN are very diverse and flexible. Prospective students can choose the registration path that suits their needs and conditions. Here are some of the registration paths that can be chosen:

1. UMN Academic Pathway

The UMN Academic Pathway is an enrollment pathway for prospective students who qualify after undergoing an evaluation process by the UMN New Student Admission Committee. Prospective students accepted through this pathway do not need to take a test and will get the Grade A.

Special requirements for VCD, Film & Animation & Diploma Hospitality Study Programs:

Special Requirements for VCD Study Program

If you want to apply to the VCD Study Program, here are the requirements that you must meet:

1. Make an image with A4 size as a work of art.
2. Images can be made by hand or using a computer.
3. Images must not contain elements of sara and pornography.
4. The image created must be the result of your own work.
5. To apply for registration, you must attach your work and a statement of originality, which you can download here. You can send the work and statement via email.

Special Requirements for Film & Animation Study Program

If you are interested in continuing your education in the Film & Animation Study Program, here are the requirements that you must meet:

1. Create a Storyboard and Story Narrative as a work of art.
2. A storyboard consists of 5 frames and a narration of 2 paragraphs with A4 size.
3. Drawings must be made by hand.
4. The drawings and stories must not contain racial and pornographic elements.
5. The work created must be your own work.
6. Like the VCD Study Program, you must attach the work and a statement letter of originality, which you can download here. Send the work and statement letter via email.

Special Requirements for D3 Hospitality Study Program

The following are the requirements that you must meet if you want to apply to the Diploma Hospitality Study Program:

1. Attach a Health Certificate.
2. Attach a TOEFL Prediction Certificate with a minimum score of 450.

Registration Procedure

Here are the registration procedures for all the study programs mentioned above:

1. Fill out the registration form or register online on the website: Registration-form.
2. Attach photocopies of grade X and XI report cards (semesters 1 – 4).
3. Attach 2 recent color ID photos with size 4x6cm.
4. Remember to fulfill all requirements and follow all registration procedures correctly.

2. UMN Scholarship Test-Path

The UMN Scholarship Test-Path can be utilized by all prospective students, especially grade XII students. Prospective students will take a test and get a scholarship in the form of discounted tuition fees ranging from base fees to semester fees based on the test results.

If you plan to continue your education at Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN), then you can take advantage of the scholarship test route to get a chance to get a scholarship that can help reduce tuition fees. Here are the scholarship opportunities that you can get through the UMN scholarship test:

1. Tuition Scholarships range from 30-100% + Semester 1 (Architecture, VCD, Film, and Diploma Hospitality Majors only).
2. Tuition Scholarship starting from 30-100% + 8 Semesters (Special for Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Accounting, Management, Strategic Communication, and Journalism majors).

Scholarship Requirements

The requirements through the scholarship pathway are as follows:

1. Tests will include English, Mathematics, Psychological Tests, and Drawing (for the Faculty of Art & Design).
2. The stationery required is a 2B pencil and eraser (for the offline test).
3. For online tests, prospective students will need a mobile phone, laptop, or PC and an adequate internet connection.

Special note for offline test: Prospective students must bring their Identity Card (Student Card / ID card). Registration can be done through the online form here.

Special Additional Tests

There are particular additional tests for specific majors, namely:

1. Informatics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics Engineering (Science Test).
2. Architecture, Visual Communication Design, and Film (Image Test).

UMN Academic Achievement Scholarship Pathway

The UMN Academic Achievement Scholarship Pathway is given to high school students in Grade XII with academic achievements in Grade XI. UMN provides a tuition waiver based on the rank obtained by the student when the student was in class XI, semester 2.

Scholarship Program for Sports and Arts

Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN) offers a scholarship program in the form of reduced registration fees for students who show achievements in sports or arts.

Scholarship Requirements include:

1. General Academic Requirements.
2. Have won a competition or at least third place at the provincial level for sports or arts, either individually or in a team/group, and proven by a winning certificate.

Registration Procedure:

1. Fill out the online registration form here.
2. Attach the following documents:

• Copy of X, XI, and XII grade report cards (1st semester).
• Copy of student ID card (1 sheet).
• Copy of family card (1 sheet).
• Certificate from the school principal.
• Copy of championship certificate.

Science Olympiad Scholarship Pathway

This scholarship provides a reduced registration fee for high school/vocational school students who have won medals at the national and international Science Olympiad.

Criteria for the Olympic Scholarship Pathway at UMN – (Doc. UMN)

Scholarship Requirements include:

1. General Academic Requirements.
2. Participate as an OSN participant representing the province in 2020, 2021, and 2022 in three subjects: Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer, and Astronomy.
3. Graduated from high school/vocational school in 2022 with A accreditation.

Registration Procedure:

1. Fill out the online registration form here.
2. Submit the following documents via email at [email protected] or fax (021) 5422 0800:

• Copy of report card of class X, XI, and XII (1st semester).
• Copy of student ID card (1 sheet).
• Copy of family card (1 sheet).
• Certificate from the school principal.
• Copy of OSN participation/championship certificate (1 sheet).

Scholarship Pathway for Children of Teachers/Principals/School Employees/Staff

As a form of respect for the dedication of teachers and school employees/staff in educating the nation’s children, UMN offers scholarships in the form of a 50% reduction in tuition fees for children of teachers/principals and a 30% reduction in tuition fees for children of employees/staff of public/private SMA/Vocational school schools who want to continue their studies at UMN.

Scholarship Pathway Requirements for Children of Teachers/Principals/Employees/School Staff:

1. General Academic Requirements.
2. Scholarship Requirements for Children of Teachers/Principals:

One of the parents (father or mother) is a teacher, as evidenced by a letter of appointment/assignment as a teacher from the Foundation or Education Office (for civil servant teachers), has worked as a teacher/principal for at least 5 years, and is still active as a teacher/principal at the time of registration.

Registration Procedure:

1. Fill out the online registration form here.
2. Attach photocopies: X, XI grade report card, family card, letter of appointment/assignment as a teacher (father or mother) or letter of appointment/assignment as an employee/staff at a public/private SMA/Vocational school (father or mother).

3. Regular Test Pathway

The regular test is a pathway that allows prospective students to follow several requirements before taking a series of tests. This pathway requires prospective students to take tests such as English, Mathematics, Psychological Tests, and Drawing (Faculty of Art & Design only).

Regular Test-Path Requirements:

1. Prospective students must take the English, Mathematics, Psychological Test, and Drawing test (specifically for prospective students of the Faculty of Art and Design).
2. The stationery required is a 2B pencil and eraser (if manual).
3. Online tools that must be prepared are a cellphone, laptop, or PC and an internet connection.

Notes: 

Prospective students must bring an identity card, such as a student or ID card (manual).

4. Notes for Vocational school and Language Graduates

This is some useful information for Vocational school graduates who wish to continue their education at Multimedia Nusantara University:

1. Language Majors can apply to the Communication Science and Visual Communication Design (VCD) Study Programs.
2. Vocational school graduates majoring in IT/Multimedia can apply to Informatics, Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Physical Engineering, and VCD study programs.
3. Graduates of vocational schools majoring in Electronics can enroll in Computer Systems, Electrical Engineering, and Physical Engineering study programs.
4. Vocational School graduates majoring in Business and Accounting can enroll in Management, Architecture, and Accounting Study Programs.
5. Graduates of vocational schools majoring in Office Admin can apply to the Communication Science Study Program.
6. Graduates of other Vocational school majors can apply with special consideration.
