UMN Open House: Producing Digital Competent Talents to Accelerate the Nation’s Future

TANGERANG – To directly introduce prospective students, Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN) held an Open House. This event was held again hybrid, where some participants can attend offline or online via Zoom. Hundreds of high school and vocational high school students and their parents came to get more information about UMN and its faculties. In addition, participants can get to know the study program they are interested in together with the heads of the study programs, lecturers, and alumni directly on Saturday (4/6/2022).

The General Manager of Marketing and Business Development of UMN, Arief Setyadi H. explained that many people had not seen and known about the UMN campus during the pandemic. Therefore, a hybrid UMN open house was held again.

“We open UMN so that everyone who wants to get to know UMN more closely can come and check the campus directly,” he continued.

Arief hopes that each study program can introduce themselves to the participants through this open house. After getting closer to UMN, prospective students can join, and together they can prepare themselves to face the industrial world after graduation.

This Open House is different from the previous year with the UTBK Scholarship for prospective students. The scholarship can be exchanged based on the UTBK score obtained.

“The UTBK Scholarship is open to every prospective student waiting for the UTBK results,” Kefas Oktavianus Arifsen, the Chief Executive of the Open House, said. 

Roughly 687 prospective student participants attended this event. Participants took part in several series of events such as information from the Head of Study Programs for each department, campus tours, and the opportunity to consult departments directly with the UMN Education Consultant team.

Although the open house was held in person this time, the event still adhered to health protocols by applying mandatory masks and maintaining a safe distance.

“Friends who come can get more extensive information and wouldn’t have to worry if they are not accepted at public universities. Because registration will remain open as long as the student quota is still available and they can exchange their UTBK scores to get scholarships to study at UMN,” Kefas said.
