Tangerang – The New Student Orientation (Orientasi Mahasiswa Baru/OMB) of Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN) 2022 is back to welcome the participants before entering the university world. This activity was carried out to introduce the UMN campus environment to prospective students. This year, the 2022 UMN OMB will be implemented in a hybrid (offline and online) manner to adjust to the increasingly improving pandemic conditions. This series of activities will be held from the 15th to the 18th of August.
“The entire OMB UMN 2022 committee has worked wholeheartedly. Even though there are many challenges, the committee is always enthusiastic and with one heart prepared the best for OMB UMN 2022 participants,” Fedora Annabella, the Head of OMB UMN 2022, shared.
With the theme “Juangkan Dedikasi, Jadikan Prestasi” (Strive for Dedications, Make Achievements), OMB UMN 2022 invites the participants to dare to fight for their dreams by sacrificing their thoughts, energy, and time. Through this theme, the participants are expected to foster a fighting spirit in making achievements in the world of uni later.
Although there are activities carried out offline, OMB UMN 2022 still maintains and implements strict health protocols for the safety and security of each participant. In addition, OMB UMN 2022 has prepared various activities beneficial for the participants.

In each of its activities, OMB UMN 2022 instills core values consisting of struggle, growth, toughness, and the 5C values of Kompas Gramedia (Caring, Credible, Competent, Competitive, and Customer Delight).
“The values of OMB UMN 2022 will be presented and taught consistently through various activities so that participants can understand these values in a fun and not boring way. In addition, the committee also raised practical values which of course can still be applied by the participants until they officially start becoming university students later,” Abel said.
These values are also depicted in the OMB UMN 2022 logo, symbolized by the Moon Orchid flower, the national flower dubbed as puspa charm (puspa pesona). In achieving beauty, it goes through struggles and processes. This illustrates the meaning of the value of struggle, growth, and resilience.
“My message to the OMB UMN 2022 participants is to enjoy the process of growth and expansion of each series of OMB UMN 2022. Hopefully, OMB UMN 2022 can be an activity that you can continue to remember and be proud of after you go through it later. Prepare and do your best, stay healthy, and always have the spirit to fight!” Abel concluded.
