TANGERANG – The UMN Management Study Program student team was selected to participate in the “Incubation of Technology-Oriented Creative Entrepreneur Candidates” program organized by Prasetiya Mulya University.
The business incubation program is part of the “Wirausaha Merdeka” (Independent Entrepreneurship) program initiated by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture. At least hundreds of thousands of students are registering for the “Independent Entrepreneurship” program held at 17 Indonesian Universities.
“All students are given the freedom to choose whether they want to join this program at one of the organizers,” said Hari Haryanto, the head of the UMN Management Study Program student team who passed the “Independent Entrepreneurship” program at Prasetiya Mulya University.
Hari and the other seven members called this opportunity a valuable experience. He said the program had helped him and his team to develop entrepreneurship knowledge.
Of course, Hari revealed many things that must be prepared for this achievement—starting from administrative to substantive things, such as the maturation of ideas.
“The lessons we have received from two years of attending lectures at the UMN Management Study Program have provided us with provisions to participate in this program, where courses such as ‘Technopreneurship’ are very relevant in the formulation of business ideas that we propose to the organizers,” said Hari.
After being declared to have passed the selection, Hari and his team will attend briefings related to market research, idea development, consumer validation, to prototype making. Their business ideas will be directly implemented during this briefing.
“Later on prototyping at the end of November, [the results] will be displayed on Demo Day on December 5,” said Hari.
The following are the names of the 2020 UMN Management Study Program student team who passed the “Independent Entrepreneur Program” selection: Bun Natasya, Desy Wiany, Gita Megantari Novianda, Hansen, Hari Haryanto, Hoky Nanda, Priyanka Irani, and Putri Dayanisa. Congratulations!
