Accredited, Master in Technology Management of UMN Earns Very Good Rating

TANGERANG – The Master of Technology Management of Multimedia Nusantara University (MMT UMN) achieved a Very Good rating in the accreditation process which was set on April 4, 2021. This Very Good Rating is achieved by MMT UMN in the initial accreditation at the age of one and a half years since its establishment.

Accreditation to determine the level of feasibility of a study program is carried out by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). Under the authority of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia, BAN-PT works to improve the quality of higher education.

Head of the Study Program  of MMT UMN, Prio Utomo said that the Very Good rating achieved by MMT UMN was an honor for the teamwork and related parties. This achievement also confirms that the value given by MMT UMN provides benefits for students and graduates in developing their scientific works.

“This time, the total point of the UMN MMT accreditation is a better learning experience to produce students who work impactful and relevant for stakeholders in the company where they work, in particular, and their industries, in general,” said Prio.

Prio admitted that the achievement of UMN MMT at its relatively young age was also a blessing, starting from the blessing of the opportunity to carry out accreditation and the smooth accreditation process to the proud results.

Actually, this rating is at the same time a challenge to achieve better rates. “Not only is it a blessing and a source of pride, the results of this accreditation are also a challenge to do better. We see that there are still many things that can be improved and improved, starting from graduates, teaching staffs, learning processes, and various supporting facilities,” explained Prio.

This time the accreditation was prepared by involving various parties, starting from the Rector and Deans to Heads of Study Programs, divisions and teams. These parties report and explain the learning and teaching activities that have been running at MMT UMN.

Responding to the challenges ahead, Prio admitted that he is trying to make MMT UMN more relevant beneficial on graduates by doing more collaborations.

“We feel that closer collaborations with industries, especially with local, regional and international stakeholders need to be improved. Besides, we are also developing the learning experience by improving the quality of the teaching process, lecturers, and supporting facilities,” Prio concluded.
