TANGERANG – Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN) collaborated and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Yapis Biak Institute of Social and Political Sciences (Institut Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik/IISIP) in the field of Higher Education Tri Dharma on Wednesday (8/6/2022).
This activity was carried out to follow up on the results of the XIV LLDIKTI Work Meeting (Rapat Kerja/raker) for the Papua and West Papua Regions on March 18, 2022. This collaboration also aims to conduct field studies of IISIP Yapis Biak regarding the lecture system at UMN, especially in realizing the Independent Learning Campus Merdeka (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka/MBKM).
The presence of the IISIP Chancellor Yapis Biak and his group and this collaboration were enthusiastically welcomed by UMN and its staff.
In his speech, the Chancellor of UMN, Dr. Ninok Leksono, M.A., explained that UMN warmly welcomes this collaboration, and we presented the dean, head of study programs, and division representatives at UMN.
“Because you want to learn about the Tri Dharma, we note that it is about learning, research, community service,” he continued.
The arrival of IISIP Yapis Biak is expected to bring new knowledge and work to be applied and realized for the higher education in Papua.

The Chancellor of IISIP Yapis Biak, Drs. Djamil Hasim, M.Sc., hopes this collaboration can help in the context of coaching, mentoring, and all kinds of things in Papua because the challenge of IISIP Yapis Biak is how to produce Papuan people ready to face the current industry.
“The most important thing is that we intend to build human resources so that they are at the same level as the rest of the Indonesian people,” he said.
On this occasion, there were also discussion sessions on the MBKM lecture system, research and community service with LPPM UMN, internship programs, and business incubation programs at Skystar Ventures.
