Tangerang – Python is a programming language that data talents must understand. Python is an open-source programming language intended for general-purpose programming and is considered a high-level programming language. So, DQLab wants to provide knowledge and experience about Python, which is packaged in the DQCamp event. This program aims to guide data talents in learning data science in a fun, applicable, interactive, and effective way with experienced mentors. One of these mentors is Abel Kristanto Widodo, a Data Scientist. This event was held online on Friday, March 22, 2022.

Abel started the DQCamp with an explanation of Python. According to him, Python is a programming language known as a general-purpose and high-level programming. Python is called general-purpose because it can be used to create web development, game development, machine learning and artificial intelligence, web scraping applications, and embedded applications.

“General purpose means that Python can be used to create web, dashboards, and others,” Abel said.

Meanwhile, it is called high-level programming because Python is easy to use and understand, it can run on all platforms, has many libraries available, and is easy to access. According to Abel, Python is a programming language that is easy to understand and read by humans.

“So, it is called high-level programming because it is easy for humans to understand and the coding is also quite easy,” Abel said.

Due to this, Python is very popular among programming languages. Data practitioners often use Python because several libraries can be used to help with data processing. These libraries are Pandas, Matplotlib and NumPy. Apart from that, coding in Python is also considered quite concise.

With this programming language that is easy to understand and learn, Python is recommended for beginners about to start learning data science. Python is also open-sourced and can be downloaded for free and free of cost, making it easier for beginners to learn the implementation of Python.

In addition, Python can be used on various operating systems such as Linux, Windows, and Mac OS, meaning that users do not need to change programs on their system to use Python. This is also one of the reasons Python is suitable for beginners.

Python is often used by plenty of companies; even big companies like Netflix, Google, YouTube, and Spotify also implement Python. Large companies regard Python as an interpretive programming language. It can be seen in the use of Python in various development fields such as products, software, to applications. Examples often encountered are applications on websites and the internet, such as HTML and email processing. This programming language can be used for data analysis from big data databases. With the support of the code structure, Python can help data practitioners in developing software.

Discussions about python can be found easily. There is even a community of fellow Python users for sharing knowledge and asking questions about Python that they don’t understand. In addition, you can learn Python with DQLab through several of its modules which can be enjoyed for free.
