
UMN and National Formosa University Expand International Academic Collaboration

Tangerang, (06/10/2026) – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) are expanding academic collaboration with University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland, involving students and lecturers from UMN’s four faculties. The collaboration may include joint degree programs, scholarships, student mobility, and research in various fields.
University College Dublin is an international university from Ireland with various study programs and research areas. During the discussion with UMN, UCD shared opportunities for collaboration in several fields that align with UMN’s academic and research focus.
“Collaboration with UMN is a valuable opportunity for us. There are many opportunities that we can explore together across various study programs at UMN. We are open to collaboration ranging from joint degree programs to scholarships for UMN students”, said Dr. Christine Wong, Regional Director, Asia-Pacific.
The collaboration is not limited to students. Christine also sees opportunities to collaborate with UMN lecturers, with several topics that align with UMN’s focus, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, communication, management, systems engineering, and other areas. The collaboration between UMN and University College Dublin is expected to grow through various academic and research activities.
Responding to the collaboration opportunity, Dr. Eng. Niki Prastomo, S.T., M.Sc., Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics at UMN, also expressed his positive response.
“This is a great opportunity, not only for the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics but also for other faculties at UMN. The collaboration between UMN and University College Dublin will focus on AI and Sustainability, in line with these topics in UMN’s learning programs”, said Niki.
For Niki, the collaboration between UMN and University College Dublin is important in giving students global learning experiences. Through partnerships with international universities, students are expected to gain valuable knowledge and insights during their studies at UMN.
“This collaboration is a great opportunity and can start with various small activities that can hopefully create a bigger impact. From these small steps, I believe we can strengthen the relationship between UMN and University College Dublin”, he added.
The collaboration may also include student exchange programs, student mobility, and other global learning experiences for UMN students.
