UMN and Dongseo University Inaugurate Strategic Collaboration, Opening International Opportunities for Students

Tangerang, (25/05/2026) – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) has once again expanded its international network by exploring academic collaboration with Dongseo University, South Korea. This initiative represents a strategic step for UMN in providing internationally recognized education for students and faculty, while also opening opportunities for cross-country collaboration in academia, research, and the creative industries.

Dongseo University is a private university located in Busan, South Korea, established in 1992. Dongseo University is known for its specialization in design, digital content, and film. Through these specializations, UMN’s Faculty of Art and Design (FSD) has the opportunity to open collaborative possibilities.

“Collaboration between international universities is important for us, as it not only enhances strategies in the field of education but also opens collaboration opportunities for both South Korea and Indonesia. I see many collaboration opportunities that can be implemented together between Dongseo University and UMN,” Dr. Aejin Esther Kim, Vice Dean of the Office of International Affairs at Dongseo University, said.

Aejin is open to future initiatives, ranging from joint projects with UMN’s FSD, online exhibitions, and research. Aejin hopes that this collaboration will have a positive impact on both institutions and generate various innovations.

“I am pleased to be able to discuss various future collaborations with Dongseo University. We have already been involved in various joint activities, but of course, UMN will continue to initiate various other programs, ranging from joint degrees, 3+2 international acceleration programs, student exchanges, and student mobility programs for students,” Prof. Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T., Vice Rector for Academic and Internationalization Affairs, said.

This collaboration program applies not only to students but also to UMN lecturers. The programs for lecturers will include visiting professor positions, faculty exchanges, and joint research. Friska is also open to involving other UMN faculties in the future.

“I hope this collaboration can run well and have a positive impact on UMN’s academic community. This initiative will be implemented soon and is expected to involve many UMN students as well as Dongseo University students,” she added.
