Tangerang, (12/06/2026) – After completing one semester of learning at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN), 34 students from four international partner universities concluded their student exchange journey, bringing with them a wealth of academic, cultural, and cross-border friendship experiences.
UMN’s international student exchange program is one of the university’s strategic internationalization initiatives. It not only shares academic knowledge and different national perspectives but also serves as a step for UMN to continuously strengthen strategic partnerships with international universities and foster cultural exchange between nations.
“This student exchange experience has been very memorable for me. I met many other international friends who were also involved in this program. Beyond new friendships, I also learned and understood many new and valuable things during my time at UMN,” Dastan Uatkanov, a student from D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU), Kazakhstan, who participated in the Management study program, said.
Academically, the Technopreneurship and Management Innovations courses left a lasting impression on Dastan and provided him with a great deal of new knowledge. He plans to implement what he learned in his future studies.
“My message to other students who want to join the student exchange program is: don’t be afraid to try. New things may seem intimidating and difficult, but that’s where we can learn and gain many new experiences,” he concluded.
Echoing Dastan’s sentiments, Som Pich Dane, a student from Camtech University in Cambodia who was enrolled in UMN’s Architecture program, also shared his warm impressions and messages during his student exchange experience at UMN.
“I didn’t expect to make so many new friends who not only added to my social circle but also helped me during my studies at UMN. I felt the warmth from my friends at UMN and also from the lecturers who assisted me,” he said.
During the exchange program, Som shared how he was involved in a project to create a “Secondary School Project.” Although he faced difficulties and made many mistakes, Som expressed how UMN’s architecture lecturers always supported him throughout the learning process.
“This experience has been invaluable to me. I hope to meet UMN students again in the future. I also hope that the other students and I can achieve our dreams in the days ahead,” Som said.
UMN’s Rector, Dr. Andrey Andoko, also expressed positive support for the successful implementation of the student exchange program. Andrey expressed hope that the participating students would make many new friends and gain new experiences.
“I hope the students gained new learning, both academically and culturally. I certainly hope that the end of this semester’s exchange program does not mark the end of the friendships that have been formed among the students,” Andrey said.
In agreement with Andrey, Prof. Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T., as Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Internationalization, also expressed her hope that the students would gain a range of memorable new experiences on their academic journeys.
“I hope the students will share these experiences with their colleagues back home, so that in the future, more students will join and experience studying at UMN,” Friska said.
