
140 Students from 13 Countries Explore Diversity and Sustainability Through UMN Sustainability Immersion Program 2026

The ACQUIN accreditation process attended by UMN’s Faculty of Art and Design and Faculty of Communication (Doc. UMN)
Tangerang, (27/07/2026) – Faculty of Arts and Design & Faculty of Communication Science Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) has recently got the ACQUIN International Accreditation. This achievement marks as one of UMN’s concrete efforts to provide internationally standardised learning experiences.
ACQUIN (Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute) is an international accreditation institution from Germany that assesses the quality of higher education and study programs based on international higher education standards. This time, the Faculty of Art and Design, including the Visual Communication Design, Film, and Animation study programs, and the Faculty of Communication, including the Strategic Communication, Journalism, Distance Learning in Communication Studies, and Master of Communication Studies programs, have successfully obtained ACQUIN accreditation.
“This achievement is part of UMN’s strategic plan for internationalisation program, in which every study program is expected to obtain international accreditation after receiving the national accreditation. Therefore, there are several study program that has obtained the international accreditation from ASIIN, FIBA-A, and AUN-QA. This time, several study programs within the Faculty of Art and Design and the Faculty of Communication have successfully obtained ACQUIN accreditation”, stated Dr. Andrey Andoko, Rector of UMN.
For Andrey, the international recognition through ACQUIN is a proof that the learning process at UMN is aligned with the international standard. Andrey also emphasised that this achievement provides a foundation for UMN to continuously deliver excellent services and education. He further noted that this achievement could enable UMN to establish more strategic partnership with international higher education.
“I hope through this achievement is a proof of the quality of education at UMN, enabling our students to become outstanding graduates who are able to compete in the industry. I also hope that the ACQUIN accreditation will serve as a standard that each study program can continuously uphold”, he concluded.
Prof. Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T., as The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Internationalisation, also expressed her pride in the international ACQUIN accreditation achieved by the Faculty of Art and Design and the Faculty of Communication Science at UMN.
“Through this achievement of ACQUIN accreditation, I hope that UMN can further develop more international programs, much more we can welcome more international students to become part of the UMN’s family, whether through student exchange programs or as full-time students. We also hope to facilitate more visiting professors through both inbound and outbound programs, while opening up broader opportunities for international collaboration”, Friska explained.
In keeping the quality of education at UMN, Friska also stated that UMN will continue to strengthen its quality assurance efforts together with the Internal Quality Assurance Office (Badan Penjaminan Mutu Internal/BPMI), as well as conduct benchmarking with other international higher education. In addition, UMN will continue to keep up with the trend nowadays to ensure that the learning provided to students remains relevant.
“We’re now isn’t just expanding collaboration with international universities, thus we are also strengthening out partnership with industry. With this strategy we hope that it will lead to more of our students successfully entering the workforce,” she added.
Through this achievement, Friska hopes that UMN will continue to uphold its reputation and maintain the quality of its internationally standardised education. She also hopes that other study programs at UMN will achieve international accreditation recognition in the future
