Tangerang, (08/05/2026) – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN), in collaboration with Universiti Malaya, organized a three-day student mobility program at UMN. Carrying the theme “INCLUDE: International & Inclusive Learning for Diverse Excellence”, the program provided an inclusive cross-cultural learning experience for students from diverse backgrounds, including students with disabilities.
As part of its commitment to equal and inclusive education, UMN continues to develop various international collaboration programs that provide learning opportunities for students from different backgrounds. Through the INCLUDE student mobility program, UMN and Universiti Malaya aim to create an inclusive cross-cultural learning environment while strengthening awareness of the importance of accessible education for all individuals.
“I am delighted to collaborate with UMN, especially through this student mobility program involving students with disabilities. This initiative is important for us in providing new experiences for students. It is also the first time we have organized a student mobility activity, and I am pleased that UMN has become the first university to support and participate in this program,” said Ahmad Marzuqi bin Ahmad Mahadzir, Short-Term Outbound Programme Coordinator at the Global Mobility Centre, Universiti Malaya.
Ahmad hopes that the student mobility program will continue to grow and be implemented annually by involving more universities and introducing various themes in the future. For Ahmad, this initiative marks the beginning of a closer collaboration between students and lecturers from both institutions.
“This Student Mobility program is a valuable opportunity for UMN as it aligns with our internationalization efforts in expanding collaborations. Through this program, UMN can also learn many things, especially regarding inclusive education for students with disabilities. We believe that quality education should be accessible to individuals from all backgrounds,” said Dr. Andrey Andoko, Rector of UMN.
Educational inclusivity at UMN has already been implemented through the Disability Services Unit (ULD). Andrey hopes that the collaboration between UMN and Universiti Malaya can further strengthen inter-university relations and continue consistently in the years ahead.
“This program is highly valuable for us, especially in broadening the learning experiences of Universiti Malaya students regarding Indonesian culture. Through this initiative, students who come and study at UMN are expected to gain new experiences they may not have encountered before,” stated Prof. Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T., as the Vice Rector of Academic and Internationalitation.
Beyond offering new experiences, Friska believes the student mobility program also allows UMN to gain deeper insights into inclusive education, which can serve as valuable input in improving the quality of education at the university. She hopes the collaboration can continue consistently and sustainably.
“I am pleased that UMN is able to conduct this student mobility program together with Universiti Malaya. Through this program, I believe broader collaboration opportunities can be created, especially in the development of education for persons with disabilities. In addition, I hope there will be more collaborations in student-related programs, such as joint competitions,” said Dr. Ika Yanuarti, S.E., M.S.F, CSA., as the Vice Rector of Student Affairs
Ika also hopes that Universiti Malaya students participating in the student mobility program will gain new knowledge through the various activities conducted during their time at UMN. On the same occasion, Prof. Dr. Florentina Kurniasari T., S.Sos., M.B.A., as the Vice Rector of Research, Innovation and Sustainability also shared her views regarding the program.
“This collaboration not only supports UMN’s internationalization program, but also serves as concrete evidence of UMN’s strong commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Considering that this program is closely connected to many SDGs, I hope the collaboration between UMN and UM can continue consistently and create positive impacts, especially within the higher education environment,” she explained.
Sari hopes that student mobility programs such as this can continue to expand by involving more international universities in the future. Through this initiative, UMN aims to demonstrate its commitment to providing globally competitive and sustainable education.
Series of INCLUDE Student Mobility Activities

Throughout the three day program, students participated in various activities at UMN, including a welcoming ceremony by the UMN rectorate, an Indonesian Cuisine Cooking Class, sensory play activities, and Art Therapy sessions together with UMN’s Disability Services Unit (ULD).
“I am very happy to visit and directly see the campus and facilities at UMN. In my opinion, the facilities for persons with disabilities at UMN are quite comprehensive, and this is a very positive thing,” said Yu Xi Jian, a Universiti Malaya student participating in the UMN Student Mobility program.
Yu also enjoyed learning about a new culture, especially through participating in cooking classes. Together with students from the Hospitality study program, Yu learned to make pisang bolen, which became a valuable cultural learning experience.
“My experience participating in the student mobility program at UMN has been very enjoyable. I had the opportunity to directly explore the UMN campus. In addition, I noticed many similarities between UMN and UM, both in terms of culture and the comprehensive facilities provided,” said Irshad Fikri bin Shahrizal, another Universiti Malaya student involved in the UMN Student Mobility program.
Irshad observed many similarities at UMN, ranging from the technology available to the cultural connections between Indonesia and Malaysia, which he felt were not significantly different. He hopes this activity can provide meaningful new learning experiences.
In addition to on-campus activities, students participating in the student mobility program also had the opportunity to visit UMN’s assisted village, Desa Bandung. During the visit, students took part in various Indonesian cultural activities, including playing traditional Indonesian games. Through this program, it is expected that UMN keep on contributing in sustainability.
