Tangerang—On Thursday (08/21/2025), several students from Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) participated in a student exchange program to the Korea University of Media Arts, South Korea. Students from the Visual Communication Design, Film, and Journalism study programs attended this exchange program. UMN’s rectorate and representatives from each study program attended the send-off.
“This exchange program is part of UMN’s plan to become a world-class university. Of course, in the future, UMN will continue to increase collaboration with various countries and expand its exchange programs. Not many students have the opportunity to participate in student exchange programs, so I hope that those who do will truly learn and gain a lot of knowledge,” UMN Rector Dr. Andrey Andoko, M.Sc., said during the send-off ceremony for the exchange students.
Andrey hopes that students will gain valuable experiences at KUMA by participating in this exchange program. He hopes they will learn new things and expand their networks.
“In the future, there will be more opportunities for UMN students to participate in exchange programs, which will not only strengthen UMN’s collaboration with partner universities but also provide valuable experiences for students. I hope that the students who have been given the opportunity to participate in this student exchange program will be able to collaborate well in the future, learn more about new cultures, and, of course, learn more new things, both academic and non-academic,” Prof. Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T., Vice Rector for Academic and International Affairs, said.
Friska also advised students not to be afraid to try new things and learn new things. Friska hopes that this student exchange program will not only strengthen the relationship between UMN and KUMA, but also broaden and strengthen the relationship between students by sharing knowledge.
“I hope that through this student exchange program, students will learn well and uphold the 5C values (Caring, Credible, Competent, Competitive, and Customer Delight) throughout the program. Surely, students will gain a lot of new experiences and knowledge that they can bring back to UMN and share with other students,” Dr. Ika Yanuarti, S.E., M.S.F, CSA, Vice Rector for Student Affairs, said.
Ika also stated that students participating in the exchange program will be monitored, so she hopes that students will be able to study well and gain many new experiences.
This exchange program will last one semester and involve students from various countries. Through this program, it is hoped that students will develop their academic abilities and understand cross-cultural issues. Not only will this strengthen the collaboration between UMN and KUMA, but it will also strengthen UMN’s position in its commitment to quality education and global collaboration.
