Tangerang (April 23, 2026) – UMN’s Student Engagement Division, in collaboration with the Management Study Program and Skystar Ventures UMN, held Entrepreneurship Week 2026 over three days at UMN. Students from various study programs attended the event, each representing different business fields.
Entrepreneurship Week is a program that not only provides students with learning opportunities to become entrepreneurs but also equips them with real-world experiences to sharpen their skills. This year, UMN’s Entrepreneurship Week 2026 successfully hosted 49 student-run tenants, featuring a wide range of business lines including food and beverage, creative products, beauty products, crafts, fashion, and digital technology.
“Entrepreneurship has been UMN’s focus from the very beginning, and this is also reflected in UMN’s vision to produce young entrepreneurs, particularly technopreneurs. This vision is important for UMN because it not only prepares students for their future but also supports Indonesia in becoming a developed country. To support Indonesia as a developed nation, we need 4% of the population to be entrepreneurs; currently, Indonesia stands at 3%,” Dr. Andrey Andoko said during the opening of Entrepreneurship Week 2026.
For Andrey, this need highlights the role of universities in shaping society and advancing the nation. By producing entrepreneurs, Andrey believes that new job opportunities will be created for the community.
“Becoming an entrepreneur is not easy; students face various challenges. However, I hope that the facilities provided by UMN, both inside and outside the classroom, can benefit students. Through this event, we can accommodate creative ideas and help prepare students’ entrepreneurial skills. UMN strongly supports its students in becoming entrepreneurs and making a positive impact on the wider community,” Andrey concluded.
Over three days, Entrepreneurship Week 2026 was attended by UMN’s academic community and high school students. The event recorded 4,616 visitors over three days, with a market value of IDR 123,819,900. The series of activities for Entrepreneurship Week 2026 also included an award ceremony for participating students.

“My friends and I started a simple business called ‘EZZ Muamboh,’ selling iced drinks popular among students. But creating this concept was not easy, and we faced many challenges, including limited time and energy,” said Caesar Banu, a 2023 Strategic Communication student at UMN, who received the Most Favorite Booth award at Entrepreneurship Week 2026.
According to Caesar, his experience participating in Entrepreneurship Week 2026 was enjoyable and unique. He noted that not only his team but also the students who came and bought from their business felt happy. For Caesar, Entrepreneurship Week went according to the concept he had built.
“Our business, ‘Shave Space,’ was inspired by the famous Korean dessert Bingsoo. We saw high enthusiasm from UMN students and the high school students who attended. For me, this was an exciting learning experience outside the classroom,” said Alfonsius Bryan, a 2023 Management student who also received the Most Creative Booth award at Entrepreneurship Week 2026.
For Alfonsius, developing a business is not easy and requires a long-term commitment. He shared one of his tips for business development: conducting market research. By doing market research, business owners can understand what their competitors offer and develop their own unique selling points.
