UMN Film Program Welcomes Collaboration with Yewon Arts University and Korea Eduwork International

Tangerang, (22/07/2026) – UMN’s Film Study Program recently played host to visitors from Yewon Arts University and Korea Eduwork International. And this wasn’t just a casual meet-and-greet — it was the first step toward something much bigger: building real collaboration between UMN and Yewon Arts University, especially in academic programs and international opportunities that will involve students and faculty from both sides.

This visit was a strategic move by UMN’s Film Program to keep expanding its global network and partnerships. It gave all three parties — UMN, Yewon Arts University, and Korea Eduwork International — a chance to sit down and talk about the various collaborations they could potentially develop together.

The meeting brought together some key players: Prof. Lee Wooyung, Adjunct Professor from the International Exchange and Cooperation Division at Yewon Arts University, and Prof. Hwang Hwankyu, President Director of Korea Eduwork International. Also in the room were the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design along with UMN’s Film Program team.

So, what did they actually discuss? The conversation focused on international programs that could be rolled out soon and directly involve UMN’s academic community. We’re talking about student exchanges, joint conferences, and even joint research projects.

The good news? Both sides gave a thumbs-up to the collaboration initiatives, and everyone’s hoping these plans can actually be implemented.

This partnership between UMN, Yewon Arts University, and Korea Eduwork International isn’t just about strengthening institutional ties — it’s about expanding the academic network between Indonesia and South Korea, especially in the fields of arts and film.

And here’s the bigger picture: this international collaboration is part of UMN’s ongoing commitment to leveling up the quality of its programs and expanding its global reach. It’s also in line with UMN’s achievement in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026, where the university made the cut in Art & Design. Through partnerships like this, UMN’s students and faculty are set to gain valuable global experience and fresh perspectives.
