UMN and Raja Ampat Regency Strengthen Collaboration to Promote Equal Access to Education

Tangerang, (14/09/2026) – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) has officially collaborated with Raja Ampat Regency on a scholarship program for young people from Raja Ampat. This collaboration program is one of UMN’s concrete efforts to provide inclusive and equitable education. The launch of the collaboration was attended in person by the Regent of Raja Ampat and the Rector of UMN.

The launch of the collaboration between UMN and Raja Ampat Regency was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The meeting was also enriched by a discussion between both parties on various other collaboration opportunities that could promote equitable and impactful education.

“Since we first learned about UMN, we have been interested in collaborating on providing scholarships to the young people of Raja Ampat. Through this collaboration, we hope our young people can gain useful knowledge and skills and contribute to the progress of Raja Ampat,” Orideko Iriano Burdam, S.IP., M.M., M.Ec.Dev., Regent of Raja Ampat, said

Orideko also emphasized that the young people who join and pursue their higher education at UMN will be able to learn many things, be spread across the various study programs available, and complement one another’s skills in developing Raja Ampat, especially in the tourism sector.

“Of course, going forward, we are open to joint collaboration opportunities beyond academic scholarships, and I believe the programs initiated can build a good future. I hope this collaboration can produce young talents who will have a positive impact on the future,” he added.

The Rector of UMN, Dr. Andrey Andoko, responded positively and gave his full support to the collaboration program between UMN and Raja Ampat Regency. For Andrey, this opportunity is a source of pride for UMN.

“The collaboration between UMN and Raja Ampat Regency is a valuable opportunity for UMN to develop human resources, which is also in line with UMN’s vision of producing graduates who are competent in their fields of interest. Through this collaboration, I hope the younger generation from Raja Ampat Regency can pursue their education at UMN and, of course, gain new knowledge so they can contribute in the future,” Andrey said.

During the discussion, Andrey opened up various collaboration opportunities that could be carried out together, ranging from training programs and community service to research. For Andrey, this collaboration is important so that UMN can continue to make a positive impact.
