From The Classroom to The Global Industry: UMN Informatics Formalizes Collaboration with SaverGlobal, Australia

Tangerang, (21/09/2026) – The Informatics Study Program of Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) has once again formalized a collaboration, this time with the international company SaverGlobal. This collaboration is one of the strategic steps to increase students’ employability rate and to provide learning experiences that are aligned with the needs of future industries.

SaverGlobal is an Australian company engaged in financial education through the development of various digital platforms. This time, UMN Informatics had the opportunity to formalize the collaboration online through a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), specifically for the Game Design & Development course. The session also included a guest lecture by SaverGlobal.

Over the course of one semester, students will take part in building mini-game projects for the Saver Kids and Saver Learning platforms, covering three main themes: financial literacy, cybersecurity, and entrepreneurship. The topics covered will also use real case studies that are relevant to the younger generation.

“The collaboration between UMN Informatics and SaverGlobal will include curriculum matching and internships. Currently, the collaboration program is already underway, and students have been assigned mini-game development projects. Later, the selected mini-game projects will have the opportunity to continue into remote internships in Australia,” Assoc. Prof. Arya Wicaksana, S.Kom., M.Eng.Sc., (OCA), Head of the UMN Informatics Study Program, explained.

Arya emphasized that this collaboration program is not merely a form of cooperation with industry, but also one of the steps in preparing students to be ready to work in the industry. Through the project, students can gain experience, build portfolios, and even obtain international internship experience.

“This collaboration program is one proof that the study program’s curriculum and its students already meet the required standards. We hope that the collaboration between UMN Informatics and SaverGlobal can be closely maintained and open up more opportunities in the future,” he said.

Arya hopes that collaboration programs between UMN Informatics and national as well as international companies can become increasingly broad and close, especially considering that UMN Informatics is currently also quite active in establishing collaborations with CIMB Niaga, CTI Group, and HENNGE, a well-known company in Japan.
