From The Classroom to The Global Industry: UMN Informatics Formalizes Collaboration with SaverGlobal, Australia

Tangerang, (21/06/2026) – The Informatics Study Program at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) has officially partnered with Australian company SaverGlobal. The partnership is part of UMN’s efforts to strengthen students’ employability while giving them learning experiences that align with the needs of the future industry.
SaverGlobal is an Australian company working in financial education through the development of various digital platforms. This time, Informatics UMN officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with SaverGlobal online, particularly for the Game Design & Development course. The session also featured a guest lecture with SaverGlobal.

Over the course of one semester, students will work on mini-game projects for Saver Kids and Saver Learning, covering three main topics: financial literacy, cybersecurity, and entrepreneurship. The projects will also draw on real-life cases that are relevant to younger generations.
“The partnership between Informatics UMN and SaverGlobal will include curriculum matching and internship opportunities. The program is already underway, and students have started working on their mini-game projects. Selected projects will have the opportunity to continue with a remote internship in Australia”, said Assoc. Prof. Arya Wicaksana, S.Kom., M.Eng.Sc., (OCA), Head of the Informatics Study Program at UMN.
Arya explained, that the partnership is not only a form of collaboration with industry, but also part of the study program’s efforts to prepare students for the workplace. Through these projects, students can gain hands-on experience, build their portfolios, and gain international internship experience.
“This partnership is also a reflection of how the study program’s curriculum and our students are equipped with what they need. We hope the partnership between Informatics UMN and SaverGlobal will continue to grow and open up more opportunities in the future,” stated Arya.
Arya also hopes that Informatics UMN can continue to expand its partnerships with both national and international companies. The program is currently working with companies including CIMB Niaga, CTI Group, and HENNGE, a leading technology company from Japan.
