UMN Discovery Day 2026 Introduces Campus Life and Preparation for the Future

Tangerang, (19/09/2026) – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) has once again held UMN Discovery Day 2026, an event that serves as a space for prospective students to get to know the UMN campus environment more closely, obtain information about learning at the university, and consult according to their interests and areas of specialization.

UMN Discovery Day 2026 was opened by UMN Rector Dr. Andrey Andoko. On this occasion, Andrey outlined the scope of learning at the UMN campus and UMN’s readiness to prepare students for future changes.

“We must be aware that in the future, digital transformation, one example being Artificial Intelligence, will move even faster, and UMN’s role is not only to provide knowledge and learning to students, but also to prepare students to face those changes,” Andrey explained.

For Andrey, amid rapid digital transformation, students need more than relevant learning. Beyond that, students must continuously sharpen the abilities machines do not have: human skills.

“Through UMN’s two major themes, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Sustainability, we hope not only to sharpen students’ hard skills, but also their soft skills in the sense of human skills, which include critical thinking, communication skills, analytical and creative thinking, and also the implementation of UMN’s 5C values (caring, credible, competent, competitive, and customer-delight),” he added.

Andrey hopes that through UMN Discovery Day, prospective students can see and experience firsthand what learning at UMN is like. Beyond the learning itself, prospective students are also expected to identify their interests and consider UMN as an option for continuing on to higher education.

UMN Discovery Day was also enriched by presentations delivered directly by the Deans of each of UMN’s four Faculties. Prospective students also had the opportunity to consult with each Head of Study Program about learning and to join a campus tour to see UMN’s various facilities for themselves.

“It is a great pleasure to see the enthusiasm of the prospective students as well as the parents who attended. This shows they are still eager to learn more about the UMN campus, especially through UMN Discovery Day. Through this event, I hope we can answer their questions and provide the information they need to continue on to higher education,” said Arief Setyadi H, S.T., M.M., General Marketing and Business Development of UMN.

Arief hopes that prospective students will truly gain valuable preparation during their studies that can carry them into the workforce. Arief also invited prospective students who couldn’t attend UMN Discovery Day to still visit UMN and get information directly.

“For prospective students who are still unsure, you can consult about your education online or come directly to the UMN campus. We will gladly welcome you and provide information about the various scholarships available at UMN. So, gather as much information as you can,” said Arief.
