Tangerang, (30/06/2026) – UMN’s Master of Technology Management Program has once again partnered with Agung Sedayu Group for the UMKM Naik Kelas (MSME Level-Up) Training Program Vol. 2. The program brought together lecturers and students from UMN’s Master of Technology Management Program alongside local MSME owners at the Teluk Naga District Hall.
The UMKM Naik Kelas Training Program is a community service initiative (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat/PKM) jointly organized by UMN, Agung Sedayu Group, and the Teluk Naga District Government. This year’s program involved 50 assisted MSMEs showcasing a total of 250 products.
“We are delighted that the UMKM Naik Kelas Training Program is taking place once again this year. This initiative strategically brings together academia, industry, business owners, and the government. With the involvement of these four stakeholders, we hope the impact of this program will be broader and more sustainable,” said Dr. Djohan Gunawan Hasan, S.Kom., M.M., Head of UMN’s Master of Technology Management Program.
Djohan also welcomed discussions with business owners to help strengthen and further develop their existing business concepts. According to him, there are still many opportunities for entrepreneurs to explore, not only in terms of product development but also in sales strategies and long-term business innovation.
“I hope participants will gain valuable knowledge that they can implement to support the growth of their businesses. Ultimately, I hope this program benefits all four stakeholders involved while also contributing to economic growth,” he added.
Toni Setiawan, Manager of Permit & PBB at Agung Sedayu Group (ASG), also expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between AGS, UMN, MSMEs, and the government. He noted the positive progress made following the successful implementation of UMKM Naik Kelas Training Program Vol. 1 in 2025.
“This program goes beyond providing education to participants. It also creates a space where MSME owners can share their experiences and learn from one another. This year, participants will explore a variety of new topics that differ from last year’s program, and I hope they take full advantage of the opportunity to gain the insights they need,” Toni said.
Also attending the event was Kurnia, S.STP., M.Si., Head of Teluk Naga District. He expressed his pride in the ongoing collaboration, highlighting its positive contribution to the development of MSMEs in Teluk Naga. According to Kurnia, the program not only provides participants with new knowledge but also encourages the wider community to initiate fresh business ideas.
“This is the right time and opportunity for MSME owners to improve their products through the adoption of new technologies and effective marketing strategies. In my view, MSMEs are the backbone of a region because they not only create new jobs but also foster creativity,” he explained.
Kurnia hopes that, over time, this continued dedication, loyalty, and collaboration will further enhance the quality and knowledge of local MSMEs while helping them keep pace with current global trends.
