TANGERANG – Students of the Master of Technology Management Program at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (MMT UMN) presented a humanitarian action through a Community Service Program (PKM) titled “One Drop Million Hopes,” held at PT National Label on Friday (April 24, 2026). This blood donation activity was the first conducted within the company’s environment and also served as part of National Label’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
This program was born from cross-sector collaboration between UMN students, PT National Label, the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of Tangerang Regency, Hermina Bitung Hospital, Sewu Segar Nusantara (SSN), and Indoporcelain. Through this synergy, the blood donation activity focused not only on collecting blood bags but also on providing health check-up services, blood donation education, and using digital platforms for registration and blood stock monitoring.
The PKM group leader, Suciati Wulan Sari, explained that this activity stemmed from a real need for blood, which remains in short supply across various regions.
“Blood availability is one of the essential needs in healthcare. Every day, hospitals require blood supplies to help patients undergoing surgery, accident victims, those with chronic diseases, and mothers giving birth. However, in reality, blood needs are often not fully met,” Suciati said.
As an MMT UMN student and Head of Marketing at PT National Label, Suciati sees the PKM activity as an opportunity to bridge the worlds of education and industry. She mentioned that National Label provides full support for activities that have a positive impact on both the company and society.
Starting from a desire to carry out a Community Service program before focusing on completing her thesis, the idea then developed into a larger-scale collaborative program. After discussing the idea with the Dean of UMN and the National Label’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team, the idea received an enthusiastic response. It was quickly prepared in collaboration with various supporting partners.
In its implementation, this activity involved MMT UMN students from Batches 12 and 13: Suciati Wulan Sari, Nurfitri, Andrea Vianca Toga, Anisa Fitriany Larasati, Nanda Junizar, Muhammad Iqbal, and Nurcholish Fachrie. They collaborated with the PT National Label team, consisting of the Human Resources, CI & HSE, Organizational Development, and General Affairs divisions.
Despite having only about one month of preparation time, the team managed to coordinate intensively through a hybrid, digital work system. Various meetings were held via Zoom, Google Meet, and WhatsApp groups to ensure all parties were ready, including PMI, hospitals, and supporting sponsors.
In addition to internal coordination, the students also conducted digital and physical outreach to attract donor participation. Banners reading “One Drop Million Hopes” were placed at several strategic locations, and registration was conducted via Google Forms and the Sidoni application, a digital blood donation platform.

On the day of the event, participants first underwent registration and health screening, including blood pressure and blood glucose checks through Free Mini MCU services from Hermina Hospital. After being declared eligible, participants could proceed with the blood donation, which was carried out directly by professional PMI staff. Donors also received nutrition packages from PMI and Sunpride, as well as souvenirs from Indoporcelain as a form of appreciation.
Of the 97 registered participants, 71 successfully donated blood, while the remaining were declared ineligible due to low hemoglobin levels, high blood pressure, or other health conditions.
Suciati revealed that the participants’ enthusiasm was one of the most memorable aspects after the activity. According to her, many National Label employees hoped that this blood donation program could be run regularly because it provides direct benefits for both health and the wider community.
“After this activity was carried out, I hope that this can become a routine activity at least twice a year. Thank God, my colleagues at National Label also gave positive feedback and requested that this activity be held regularly,” Suciati said.

The supervising lecturer for the PKM and a postgraduate lecturer at MMT UMN, Dr. Drs. J. Johny Natu Prihanto, M.M., believes that social activities, such as blood donation, play an important role in building real-world experience for students outside the classroom. According to him, the PKM program is part of the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi) and aligns with UMN’s Master Plan for Community Service, particularly under the Social Technopreneurship pillar.
Through this activity, students not only learn to carry out social actions but also to manage cross-sector collaboration using a professional, technology-based approach. The use of the Sidoni application, hybrid coordination, and industry involvement are all part of a practical experience that brings students face-to-face with the dynamics of the professional world.
“Through collaboration with industry, students are invited to engage in concrete cooperation with the real world regarding CSR,” Johny explained.
For Suciati herself, this experience offered new lessons in leadership, responsibility, and building synergy between a company and an educational institution. Amid her busy schedule as both a worker and a student, she views the PKM as an opportunity to introduce UMN and National Label within the same humanitarian movement.
“As a worker who is also pursuing an education, this is an interesting challenge: how to unite the company with the campus. I am happy with the PKM activity—it allows me to introduce UMN, where I study, and also National Label, where I work,” Suciati said.
