This achievement is a proof that the three study programs under the Faculty of Art and Design, which are Design Communication Visual, Film & Animation, and Architecture are at a global level”, said Rector of UMN, Dr. Andrey Andoko.
Andrey himself saw this achievement as acknowledgement that UMN education quality is recognized on the global level from UMN’s university partner, and as a proof of UMN’s graduated students by employers. The Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design at UMN also conveyed the future strategy in detail.
“In terms of learning, FSD consistently aligns with UMN’s master plan by designing a curriculum that remains up to date to meet globally recognized quality and standards. With several accreditation achievement on both nationally or internationally starts from BAN-PT, AUN-QA, ACQUIN is a prove that the existing curriculum is aligned with the development of knowledge as well as global competitiveness,” said Muhammad Cahya Mulya Daulay, S.Sn., M.Ds., Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design at UMN.
Cahya emphasize that well qualified curriculum isn’t just seen from the learning strategy, but also how the Faculty of Art and Design encourage its lecturer to understand the effective way to educate, increase interaction, and the most important thing is by involving practitioner lecturers who are actively engaged in the industry, so that through this strategy, students are expected to gain both knowledge and real-world learning experiences
“For me QS Rank not just merely saw from the education quality, but also trust. This trust is reflected in how the curriculum consistently and persistently produces tangible outcomes that deliver real benefits to the public. Obviously with this trust it’s our challenge and responsibility for us to keep it up”, add Cahya.
Strategically in the future, Cahya will continue to enhance the curriculum and learning by emphasizing human-centered factors and critical thinking, for both lecturers and students. Moreover, UMN will actively expand its collaborative partnerships more broadly, not only across Asia but also into Europe.
