Tangerang, (04/08/2026) – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) hosted the 2026 National Student Achievement Selection (Pemilihan Mahasiswa Berprestasi/Pilmapres), an annual agenda organized by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendikti Saintek RI). This year, Pilmapres carried the theme “Indonesian Students: Charactered, Achieve, Impactful”.
Pilmapres is a prestigious national-level program that not only features competitions but also serves as a platform for inspiring young figures to emerge as change makers in the academic, social, and leadership fields in Indonesia. This event was held over four days offline at the UMN campus. The opening of Pilmapres 2026 was officially opened by the Rector of UMN, Dr. Andrey Andoko.

“First, I would like to congratulate the students who have been selected as finalists through a fairly rigorous selection process. We realize that universities have a strategic role in producing quality young generations, who are not only academically excellent but also possess noble character and high competitiveness for the advancement of Indonesia,” Andrey welcomed.
For Andrey, Pilmapres is not just a competition arena but also a space for sharing creative ideas and innovative products from students, a means to strengthen national collaboration, and proof that achievement must go hand in hand with good character formation and positive impact.
“I hope that through activities like this, students’ human skills can be strengthened, considering the continuous development of technology. In addition, I also hope that the Pilmapres event can encourage campuses to continue facilitating student creativity through intracurricular, cocurricular, and extracurricular activities,” Andrey concluded.
Representing the Head of LLDIKTI Region III, Tri Munanto, S.E., M.Ak., as Head of the General Affairs Division of LLDIKTI Region III, also expressed his appreciation and pride for the organization of Pilmapres 2026.

“The Pilmapres 2026 event is a source of pride for us. Through this activity, it is hoped that many new leaders can emerge for this nation. This event is not just a competition arena, but also a forum for students to build networks and enhance collaboration among students and between universities,” he said.
Tri hopes that this event can become a space for students to express their creativity. He also hopes that the networks formed among students will not stop at this event but can continue in the future.
Sukino, S.Pd., M.A.P., as the Student Affairs Coordinator at the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa), also gave a positive response to the organization of Pilmapres, which is not just an event to appreciate students but also to prepare excellent generations for Indonesia’s future.

“I hope that through this event, students can sharpen new skills that are not only needed in the workplace but also in life. Academic ability is indeed important, but competence and the willingness to keep learning are equally important,” Sukino concluded.
Pilmapres 2026 was attended by 41 universities from various universities across Indonesia, and involved participants from diploma, undergraduate, and categories for students with disabilities.
Through the organization of Pilmapres 2026, UMN supports the development of inclusive student talent, strengthens collaboration between universities, encourages the birth of a young generation with character and achievement, and provides a positive impact on sustainable development.
