UMN Expands Global Partnerships with Singapore Institute of Management

Tangerang, (21/08/2026) – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) continues to expand its international network of higher education partners through a collaboration with Singapore Institute of Management (SIM). The collaboration opens up opportunities for various international programs involving four faculties at UMN.

Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) is one of Singapore’s leading private higher education institutions, established in 1964. SIM has a strong global academic network through collaborations with renowned universities across Australia, Canada, Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

“We value the opportunity to collaborate with UMN. There are many programs that we can potentially develop together, ranging from learning and student development to career development and various other initiatives. There are also many areas we can explore together, including sustainability, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and interdisciplinary studies,” said Prof. Timothy Chan, Deputy Provost of SIM.

For UMN, cross-border collaboration is important not only for expanding its network of higher education partners, but also for providing valuable learning experiences for students. This collaboration is expected to benefit both institutions through various academic programs, student development initiatives, and other international programs.

“The establishment of this collaboration with SIM is a valuable opportunity for us. This strategic step not only expands UMN’s international network of higher education partners, but also supports various existing collaborative programs as well as the development of new programs in the future,” said Dr. Andrey Andoko, Rector of UMN, during the discussion.

Andrey hopes that this collaboration can be maintained consistently and actively, while also leading to various forms of collaboration in the future. More than just an institutional partnership, Andrey emphasized that this opportunity is also part of UMN’s efforts to provide students with greater access to international experiences and networks.

Moreover, during the discussion, Prof. Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T., Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Internationalization, also highlighted various international collaborative programs that could be developed together.

“Internationalization programs that can be developed together starting from student academic programs, student exchanges, student mobility, guest lectures, international competitions, and the 3 + 2 program. However, this does not rule out the possibility of developing other innovative programs in the future,” explained Friska.

Furthermore, Friska also highlighted various collaboration opportunities involving faculty members, ranging from visiting professors and international conferences to joint research. It is hoped that this newly established collaboration can serve as a starting point for the development of various academic and internationalization programs involving students and faculty members from both institutions.
