OMB 2017: Show Action Make Contribution

A total of 1,800 umn new students participated in the opening ceremony of OMB 2017 on Monday (21/8) with solemnity.

New Student Orientation (OMB) of Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN) entered its first day, Monday (21/8). By carrying out “Show Action, Declare Contribution”, OMB this time not only wants to introduce new students in the class of 2017/2018 about the world of lectures but also instill the value that in addition to being able to think critically, students must also be able to pour their minds into an action that has a real impact or contribution to the environment.

OMB’s first day opened with a flag ceremony. A total of 1,800 new students participated in this activity solemnly. Rector of Multimedia Nusantara University Dr. Ninok Leksono, M.A. also gave a speech to new students. In his speech, Ninok Leksono said that OMB should be free from hazing. He also said that OMB is a means to open up insights about the campus environment. At the end of the ceremony, the Rector of UMN, Dr. Ninok Leksono Officially opened OMB activities that will last for 2 days with the beating of gongs.

After that, new students are invited to get to know more closely the campus environment. Here, they are invited to get to know institutions that will be familiar to their ears when studying in the next few years. Some of these institutions include Student Service, Student Development, Career Development Center, BAAK, BAUK, Library, Rectorate, DKBM to BEM room.

New students of umn Faculty of Art and Design attended the OMB 2017 Program Content event enthusiastically

Satisfied to tour the campus, students are divided into their respective study programs. They are also invited to get to know more about their study programs in the Program Content event. Here, in addition to being introduced to the ranks of the head of the study program, the student association of their study program also gets sharing from alumni sharing. It is hoped that through this activity, new students can already imagine the fun of jumping into their chosen study program.

Prodi Content event was closed with various exciting games that are expected to add familiarity from new students and upperclassmen.
