Applause and flood of congratulations were obtained by the Kompas Corner team at the series of kompas corner anniversary summit events held at the UMN Campus Function Hall, Wednesday (6/5). The spirit of inspiring and expanding the horizons of science becomes a new force for Kompas Corner at the age of 2.
The excitement wrapped in cheerfulness wrapped around the highlight of Kompas Corner’s birthday event. A tumpeng and cake became a symbol of the increasing age of Kompas Corner. This cheerfulness was increased by the presence of several representatives from Kompas Daily and the rectorate of UMN.
On this occasion, FN Terryan as GM Marketing Communication Daily Kompas specifically congratulated Kompas Corner. He said that the moment of Kompas Corner’s birthday this time was not far away with the 50th anniversary of Kompas Daily.
“Kompas in June will enter its golden age, the age of 50 years. It’s something that won’t happen again. Every few years, Compass will issue a new tagline. On this occasion, the tagline carried is ‘Inspiration Across Generations’. Through the tagline, Kompas intends to be a means to inspire young people while absorbing the inspiration provided by young people. One of them is through Kompas Corner in UMN. Kompas Corner is expected to be a place to accommodate new inspiration and aspirations from young people for Kompas,” said FN. Terryan.
Terryan hopes that in the future Kompas, Kompas Corner, and UMN can continue to collaborate to create a strong cooperation in various fields. He even more hopes that in the future, Kompas Corner will grow and be more successful.
On the same occasion, Tarrance Palar as Promotion Manager for Marketing Communication Kompas Gramedia invited the participants who attended kompas corner’s birthday event to get to know more closely Kompas Daily. He introduced the Tambora Challenge program in 2015 which will be a major event commemorating the golden anniversary of Kompas Daily later.
This anniversary event was then followed by an Expand Your Horizon seminar hosted by a well-known news anchor and Executive Producer of Kompas TV, Aiman Witjaksono. At this event, Aiman underlined the importance of having good public speaking skills.
Happy 2nd birthday, Kompas Corner. Hopefully it can always be a place to accommodate aspirations and inspire UMN students! (*)
