Tangerang, (08/04/2026) – UMN’s real commitment to strengthening collaboration with industry has once again been demonstrated through the “Top Partner in Co-Curriculum” appreciation awarded by CIMB Niaga. This appreciation was given for the successful curriculum collaboration program between UMN’s Informatics study program and CIMB Niaga, which is considered capable of delivering learning aligned with industry needs and providing students with practical experience.
Top Partner in Co-Curriculum is a form of appreciation given by CIMB Niaga in its collaboration with universities. UMN, as one of CIMB Niaga’s university partners, also received the Top Partner in Co-Curriculum award, specifically for UMN’s Faculty of Engineering and Informatics, Informatics study program.
“The team of lecturers involved and I are delighted with the appreciation given by CIMB Niaga. This Best Co-Curriculum appreciation is proof that the learning process in the Informatics study program is not only theory-based but also practically beneficial to industry through the curriculum matching program,” Assoc. Prof. Arya Wicaksana, S.Kom., M.Eng.Sc. (OCA), Head of the Informatics Study Program, said.
The curriculum in the Informatics study program itself is designed and aligned with the needs of industry partners. The lecturer team does not solely design it; it also involves the industry. With this strategy, the resulting material is the outcome of collaboration between the lecturer team and industry partners.
“In the future, I will continue to emphasize collaboration between UMN’s Informatics study program and CIMB Niaga. Real collaboration between academia and industry is important, so that students not only learn theory but also simultaneously gain practical experience. Graduates of UMN’s Informatics study program will also be aligned with industry partners’ needs, facilitating future workforce recruitment. This is mutually beneficial for students, the study program, and industry partners,” Arya added.
Arya hopes that the collaborative program between UMN’s Informatics study program and CIMB Niaga can continue to be closely maintained. For him, this success serves as a good practice reference that can be applied with industry partners in other fields within Informatics, ranging from cybersecurity to gaming to healthcare.
