Skystar Ventures UMN has once again demonstrated its role in supporting student business development by hosting the “Skystar Ventures Startup Demo Day & Exhibition 2026.” This event, which combined a product exhibition and pitching sessions, took place over three days, from Tuesday (2/6/2026) to Thursday (4/6/2026), at the Connector area of Building C-D at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara.
This event marked the culmination of the journey for 37 startups from the Ideation Program and 21 selfpreneurs from the Selfpreneur Program. All participants were mentored students who had completed a 6-month incubation period at Skystar Ventures. Throughout the program, the students’ main focus was to mature their businesses from idea validation to product prototype creation.
During the three-day event, the exhibition was bustling with visitors, including students, lecturers, external parties, and practitioner mentors. Visitors could see firsthand innovations across a wide range of business categories, from culinary (FnB), fashion, and lifestyle to creative industries such as games, creative agencies, IP-based startups, and financial technology (fintech).
The development of these student businesses also received positive responses on campus—the Rector of UMN, Ir. Andrey Andoko, M.Sc., Ph.D., who visited and toured the exhibition area, stated that this program is closely aligned with the university’s educational direction.
“As stated in UMN’s vision to produce graduates with an entrepreneurial spirit, this is certainly one of the programs for entrepreneurship development. I can see that the ideas are already good,” he said.
In addition to support from the campus, appreciation also came from the professional investment industry. Rifqi Aditya, Junior Associate ESG Specialist at SPIL Ventures, who attended as a panelist mentor for the pitching session, admitted to being impressed by the participants’ creativity.
“From a Venture Capital perspective, we are very happy when we come across startups with fresh ideas. That’s why we really enjoy being invited to today’s Skystar Ventures event—we encounter so many out-of-the-box ideas,” Rifqi said.
Through the Startup Demo Day & Exhibition 2026, Skystar Ventures has proven its commitment to supporting students in their initial steps into the business world. The facilities and guidance provided are expected to continue serving as a supportive platform for channeling students’ creative ideas into tangible, growth-ready businesses.

Maulaya Syazaril Huzaini Sipayung, a UMN Visual Communication Design student who participated in Skystar Ventures Startup Demo Day & Exhibition 2026, also proved how creative ideas are not merely about developing a startup. They also address problems and solutions relevant to today’s Generation Z.
“I developed the Nalar application. This idea stemmed from one problem: impulsivity among Generation Z. There are quite a few phenomena showing how today’s generation struggles to track their expenses and income, and this also happens to me,” Maulaya explained.
What sets the Nalar application apart from others is that it is designed and assisted by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and can later be integrated with users’ various bank accounts.
“With this AI-assisted feature, users don’t need to struggle to check their account mutations one by one. With just one Nalar application, users can already receive all their expenses and income,” she added.
Addressing concerns regarding AI and user databases, Maulaya emphasized that data security will be guaranteed. She plans to implement this through collaboration with banking companies, and the Nalar application will only pull users’ account mutation databases.
“I hope that in the future, the Nalar application will not only be present to help the public but also provide financial education to the community. More than that, I also hope the Nalar application can reduce impulsivity rates among the younger generation,” Maulaya concluded.
