Tangerang, February 3, 2026 – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) has once again demonstrated its commitment to the internationalization of education through an international student exchange program involving 26 UMN students and 36 students from UMN’s partner universities.
In line with its vision of becoming a world-class university, UMN consistently expands its international collaborations through various student mobility programs. This initiative not only opens opportunities for cross-border academic experiences but also strengthens UMN’s position within the global higher education network.
“It is a source of pride to see the number of UMN’s international student exchanges—both inbound and outbound—increasing every semester. This indicates that UMN’s international programs are highly sought after by international students from UMN’s partner universities. Not only that, but the rising number of exchange students demonstrates strong collaboration and positive outcomes,” Dr. Andrey Andoko, UMN Rector, said.
Andrey himself emphasized the importance of this program to the UMN academic community, noting that it not only provides new experiences for international students but also fosters an international learning atmosphere on campus. UMN students gain experience interacting with and networking with international students, particularly in academic settings.
“My message to international students participating in this program is to gain as much knowledge as possible, as well as new experiences—especially with Indonesian culture, trying new cuisines, making new friends, and experiencing the hospitality of the Indonesian people,” Andrey said.

Andrey also left a message for UMN students currently participating in the international student exchange program with UMN’s partner universities, encouraging them to gain as much experience as possible. For him, this exchange experience not only broadens academic and cultural horizons but is also invaluable in supporting students’ future career paths.
Over the course of one semester, students in this exchange program not only study in the classroom but also participate in various activities designed to enhance their understanding of global culture.

“As part of our efforts to enhance internationalization at UMN, the student exchange program is one of our strategies to introduce UMN on a global scale. We offer this student exchange program every semester, and there is also a mobility program (short program) held twice a year; through these programs, UMN’s name is becoming increasingly recognized on the global stage,” Prof. Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T., Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Internationalization at UMN, said.
In addition to elevating UMN’s profile on the global stage, Friska also emphasized the student exchange program’s vision as an opportunity for UMN to offer new experiences for its students. With the involvement of international students in the exchange program, UMN students have the opportunity to collaborate, hone their teamwork skills, and cultivate knowledge and perspectives that are increasingly diverse across various backgrounds.
“In addition to emphasizing the academic aspect, I always urge both UMN students and international students to continuously develop their soft skills, as well as to learn about and embrace new cultures. This not only expands students’ networks but also equips them for the future as they network on a more global scale,” Friska emphasized.

Moving forward, Friska will continue to expand UMN’s network of partner universities to include even more countries. Friska already implemented this initiative at the 2026 APAIE (Asia-Pacific Association for International Education) conference, attended by 3,300 delegates from around the world, where UMN had the opportunity to establish collaborations with various foreign universities from numerous countries.
“I hope that the various initiatives undertaken by UMN will support the internationalization program to continue advancing, adding even more university partners, and fostering stronger collaborations. Certainly, with the increasing number of these collaborations, UMN will eventually emerge as a diverse university and bring UMN closer to becoming a world-class university,” Friska concluded.
