The use of Student Id Cards (KTM) in the UMN campus environment is often questioned by students. KTM existence is not considered so important by students. The use of KTM has certain purposes.

As an identifier

KTM contains the name, Student Master Number (NIM), and the Department you choose. This is proof that you are an official student of UMN. Thus, KTM will distinguish you from other UMN visitors.
