Tangerang – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) recently welcomed 10 exchange students from Korea University of Media Arts and NSUADA, Russia, on Thursday (August 21, 2025). This exchange program was conducted in collaboration with UMN’s partner universities and will run for one semester alongside the DKV, FILM, and Journalism study programs.
“I am proud that UMN is welcoming students from two countries. This is a concrete action by UMN to improve the quality of education and enhance the global community. Through this exchange program, students will not only learn in the classroom but also learn about Indonesian culture and understand cross-cultural issues,” Dr. Andrey Andoko, UMN Rector, said in welcoming the students.
Andrey hopes that through this student exchange program, students can share and learn about each other’s cultures between Indonesia, Korea, and Russia. Not only learning from each other, but Andrey also hopes that students will gain new knowledge from UMN lecturers.
“I hope that students will be able to study well at UMN. Of course, they will also have new and enjoyable experiences while at UMN and make new friends from UMN. Many new activities and experiences await the students,” Prof. Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T., Vice Rector for Academic and International Affairs, said
Friska also advised students not to hesitate during their exchange program at UMN, and to explore as much knowledge and experience as possible. It is hoped that students will bring back many good stories and experiences when they return to their countries.
“Exchange students can participate in other learning activities outside the classroom, such as joining student activity units at UMN. Through these non-academic activities, they can make many friends. I am sure that UMN students are very open to the participation of exchange students in student activity units,” Dr. Ika Yanuarti, S.E., M.S.F, CSA, Vice Rector for Student Affairs, said
Additionally, Ika hopes that students will actively participate in and support all activities at UMN, both academic and non-academic. This exchange program clearly proves that UMN supports sustainable and collaborative education development with international university partners. Furthermore, this exchange program is also expected to be a gateway for UMN to become a world-class university.
