Tangerang, (12/11/2025) – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara has inaugurated a recruitment collaboration with PT Lautan Luas. This collaboration aims to expand UMN’s industry partners and, of course, increase the absorption of UMN students into the industry. This collaboration is expected to support and contribute to sustainability.
PT Lautan Luas is a company engaged in raw materials and integrated chemical solutions. PT Lautan Luas currently operates in various regions in Indonesia and has expanded to various countries. Previously, UMN had opened discussions on collaboration during an industry visit with PT Lautan Luas. This time, UMN had the opportunity to formalize a collaboration in the field of student recruitment.
“This collaboration focuses on student recruitment, but it is not limited to that. We also have various other programs with the industry, ranging from scholarships to curriculum matching. This program is designed to prepare students before they enter the workforce, so that after graduation, they can be immediately absorbed into the industry. We aim to bridge various collaborations between UMN and existing companies,” Dr. Ika Yanuarti, S.E., M.S.F, CSA., Vice Rector for Student Affairs, said.
Ika also hopes that this collaboration will involve four faculties at UMN, actively collaborating and benefiting both parties. Ika also opened various other recruitment programs that PT Lautan Luas can participate in, ranging from career days, campus hiring, and job postings. It is hoped that through this collaboration, UMN students can be absorbed for internships or full-time positions.
“I am confident that many UMN students will be interested, and I hope that UMN students will not only implement the knowledge they have gained but also the soft skills they have acquired from UMN. We always equip students with the 5C values (Caring, Credible, Competent, Competitive, and Customer Delight), so that it is not only GPA that is important but also a good attitude and character,” Ika added.
PT Lautan Luas itself is open to various collaborations with UMN and is interested in programs for industry. Andy Lesmana, Talent and Culture Development Manager at PT Lautan Luas, Tbk, said that UMN shares the same vision, namely “A Better World Through What We Do,” seeing UMN’s activeness in contributing to and supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“Apart from recruitment, we are also open to collaborations related to sustainability, so that in the future, collaborations can be even broader, ranging from industrial research to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. This is important for our company so that employees don’t just work but also uphold family values,” Andy said.
Andy is open to collaboration with four faculties at UMN, mainly those that are the focus and needs of PT Lautan Luas at this time in digitalization technology and branding. It is hoped that through this collaboration, students can have an impact and innovate various new things for PT Lautan Luas.
“This collaboration is expected to create new solutions for PT Lautan Luas. We need a lot of ideas from the younger generation. I am sure that there are many things that can be done together with UMN, and in the future, it will be mutually beneficial for both parties and contribute not only to the company but also to society,” Andy concluded.
