Jakarta—Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) recently conducted an Industry Visit to Kurnia Ciptamoda Group (KCG) on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. The UMN Career Development Center and Vivere Group teams attended the industry visit. During this event, UMN and KCG discussed collaboration opportunities expected to positively impact social, environmental, and economic aspects.
PT Kurnia Ciptamoda Group (KCG) is one of Indonesia’s well-known retail companies, established in 1998. KCG has developed various renowned fashion brands in Indonesia, including Charles & Keith, Pedro, EA7 Emporio Armani, Pomelo, and Armani Exchange. These brands are now available in various cities and provinces across Indonesia. During this industry visit, UMN had the opportunity to discuss and explore broader collaboration opportunities with PT KCG.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to visit PT KCG. We are no strangers to KCG, given the widespread availability of its products, and some UMN students have already pursued their careers at PT KCG. We aim to collaborate further, as UMN is currently focusing on employability and sustainability,” Elfira F. Wahyono, M.Si, Manager of the Career Development Center at UMN, said.
Elfira opened up collaboration opportunities, including recruitment collaborations such as campus hiring, career days, career building, and recruitment collaborations that benefit both UMN and PT KCG. In addition to recruitment collaboration, Elfira also initiated cooperation in the field of sustainability, as UMN and PT KCG share the same vision for sustainable development.
“At PT KCG, we prioritize sustainability, from employees, the environment, to the economy. For us, work-life balance is important because maintaining physical and mental health is a priority, so we have created various programs that employees can participate in,” Fabiani Frisna, Recruitment Head of PT Kurnia Ciptamoda Group, said
In addition to presenting a brief overview of life at PT KCG, Fabiani also discussed the industry’s current needs, including the demand for interns and full-time employees. Fabiani noted that young people are in high demand today, as their creativity and skills are highly valued.
“Additionally, we are currently focusing on sustainability issues. We aim to create sustainable programs that are long-term and not just one-day events. We hope these sustainability programs can be collaborated with UMN, as UMN already has various sustainability programs, which I believe presents a good opportunity for collaboration,” Fabiani said.
Fabiani is open and interested in collaborating with UMN on various initiatives, including recruitment collaborations, guest lectures from the industry, sharing sessions, participation in career days, and, of course, the sustainability program, which is hoped to be implemented soon.
