Tangerang, (17/10/2025) – The Faculty of Arts and Design at UMN recently held another collaboration discussion with one of its partners from South Korea, the Korean University of Media Arts. This meeting discussed various collaboration opportunities that UMN and KUMA can carry out and expand.
Previously, UMN has carried out various ongoing collaborations with KUMA, ranging from visiting professors to the current student exchange program between UMN and KUMA students. As one of UMN’s university partners, UMN and KUMA continue to initiate various collaborations together.
“It is a pleasure to be able to collaborate with KUMA. The collaborations that UMN and KUMA have carried out have provided UMN lecturers with new knowledge and experiences. Not only UMN lecturers, but also UMN students have gained new experiences and insights,” Muhammad Cahya Mulya Daulay, S.Sn., M.Ds., Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design at UMN, said.
Cahya is also pleased to welcome KUMA students to participate in student exchange programs at UMN. This collaboration is hoped to continue, not only in the form of student exchanges but also in lecturer exchanges. In the future, Cahya hopes that UMN lecturers can become visiting professors at KUMA.
“Several UMN students are currently participating in a student exchange program at KUMA, and many other UMN students want to join the student exchange program at KUMA. For me, this is a strategic step to strengthen the collaboration between UMN and KUMA. In the future, it is hoped that there will be various other collaborations, such as joint research for both students and lecturers,” Cahya explained.

“We have received a lot of positive feedback from students who are currently participating in the exchange program at UMN. They have learned a lot about new cultures. Of course, we also apply this to UMN students who are currently participating in the exchange program at KUMA. They are taking many classes and really enjoy the cultural program in Korea,” explained Hyun. A. Park, Dean of the KUMA International Office.
Park sees the relationship between UMN and KUMA as very good and sustainable. In the future, Park hopes that this student exchange program can continue next year and in the years to come.
“There are still many collaborations that can be done by UMN and KUMA, ranging from social programs, research, visiting professors, and various other collaborations. It is also possible to conduct joint research with UMN both online and offline,” explained Park.
