Tangerang, Wednesday (10/12/2025) – Multimedia Nusantara University’s Career Development Center (UMN CDC) held a meeting with Spectrum UniTec. During the meeting, both parties discussed collaboration and recruitment opportunities.
Spectrum UniTec is a manufacturing company and interior solutions provider for the retail, commercial, industrial, and office sectors in Indonesia — they make products such as displays & shopfitting, office furniture, filing systems, warehouse racking, fire doors, and other related accessories.
“Being able to discuss collaboration opportunities with Spectrum UniTec is certainly a very good opportunity for us,” said Elfira F. Wahyono, M.Si, Manager of UMN Career Development Center, opening the discussion.
The meeting was then continued by Widy, Spectrum UniTec’s HR Manager. Widy explained that Spectrum UniTec is not just a company that runs manufacturing steel, wood, plastic, and paper, but is also known for producing high-quality products. This is evident in the numerous projects it has undertaken.
“Our business field encompasses grocery, retail display & equipment, warehouse, door system, folder & filling system, office, home living & restaurant. Meanwhile, we just started focusing on retail digitalization in 2025, where products are to be manufactured in the form we call phygital. Furthermore, we also handle customizing furniture, considering that our market is not limited to B2C but also B2B. And to date, We’ve handled over 20,000 projects and over 150 products in 25 years. This is what has allowed us to grow to over 600 employees with our head office located in Tangerang.” said Widy.
Besides the head office, Spectrum UniTec also has branch offices that serve as sales, warehouses, or depots, and are used for product stocktaking. Furthermore, for operations, Spectrum UniTec utilizes SAP Implementation.
Elfira certainly sees this as a positive move from Spectrum UniTec. Therefore, she has high hopes that UMN can collaborate with Spectrum UniTec on their programs. She then outlined these programs.
“These programs include career recruitment, namely the distribution of job vacancy and internship information;career development, which includes the agenda career building, career preparation, as well as internship provision which is carried out in stages within semester 4 to 6;various career workshops, with an agenda similar to career development but more tailored to the needs and demands of the company; and job fair or career day which is held before the student graduation ceremony.”
Hearing and welcoming this, Widy also explained the recruitment mechanism at Spectrum UniTec. She stated that the company is open to internships and full-time positions.
“You can find the vacancies on the Spectrum UniTec Career platform. The internship program is possible to start whenever sooner, including for the January period. Regarding relevant majors, I think there are Communication Sciences, Visual Communication Design (DKV), Marketing, Sales, Architecture—which is definitely related to property, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and other related majors. But before all that, we provide opportunities for factory visit for whoever wants to get to know us.” said Widy.
After seeing the openness of the PKS and collaboration from both parties, at the end of the discussion, UMN was asked to immediately send a draft, including the possibility of a meeting & pitching.
