Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN), through its business incubator, Skystar Ventures, once again demonstrated its commitment to producing young entrepreneurs who are ready to compete. As the culmination of the Skystar Ventures Incubation Program Batch 12 series, Skystar Ventures held an event titled “Skystar Ventures Business Showcase & Demo Day.
The event was held for three consecutive days, from Tuesday (12/09/2025) to Thursday (12/11/2025), filling the Lobby of Building B at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara with enthusiasm and innovation.

A total of ten startups and eleven self-employed entrepreneurs, involving a total of 53 students from four different faculties, took part in this event. The diversity of students’ backgrounds yielded a range of interesting, solution-oriented business ideas, spanning AI-powered tools, community-based businesses, fashion, food and beverage, and personal care.
During the Business Showcase session, these young founders set up booths to introduce their products and services directly to the public. This opportunity was not only an exhibition but was also strategically used by the students to conduct market validation. They interacted directly with other students, lecturers, and visitors to gather feedback, build brand awareness, and even sell their products.
Pitching in Front of Industry Practitioners
In addition to the product exhibition, the main highlight of the event was the Demo Day or pitching session. In front of a panel of experienced mentors, the students presented the solutions and business developments they had achieved during the six-month incubation program.
The quality of these student startups was tested directly by industry practitioners, namely Andrew Dalimarta (Co-Founder of Seporsi Mie Kari) and Fandy Cendrajaya (Founding Partner of Kopital Ventures). The presence of these practitioners provided real industry insights to help students grow their businesses.

This event is a manifestation of UMN’s vision to instill a strong entrepreneurial spirit on campus. Dr. Ika Yanuarti, Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Employability, and Entrepreneurship at UMN, expressed her pride in the students’ enthusiasm.
“We (Universitas Multimedia Nusantara) always encourage students to be able and willing to become entrepreneurs. Through activities like this, we hope that more and more of them will be inspired to become self-preneurs or entrepreneurs,” Ika said.
In line with this, Yovita Surianto, Business Incubator Manager at Skystar Ventures, emphasized that this event is a gateway to greater opportunities.
“With this Business Exhibition & Demo Day, it builds awareness. Surely, their products and services will become better known. With more exposure, it will definitely open up opportunities,” Yovita explained.
Through Skystar Ventures, UMN continues to strive to be a catalyst for the birth of new innovators who are not only academically excellent but also have a tangible impact through the businesses they build.
