UMN Holds Pekantara 2025 to Build Inclusive Young Leadership Character
December 11, 2025
Inauguration of Clean Water Facilities in Carita Village, together with PT Persero and the UMN Center for Sustainability (Doc. UMN)
Pandeglang, Banten — PT Surveyor Indonesia (Persero), through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, inaugurated clean water facilities for the communities of Kampung Sanghyang and Kampung Mataram in Carita Village, Pandeglang Regency. This inauguration is an essential step in improving access to clean water for residents who have been facing limitations in terms of sources of water suitable for consumption.
PT Surveyor Indonesia (Persero)’s TJSL program provides infrastructure, including the construction of bore wells, the installation of water pumps, storage tanks, and piping networks that distribute clean water closer to residential areas. Before this program was implemented, the community had to rely on dug wells that were easily contaminated or travel long distances to obtain clean water. The presence of these new facilities has had a significant impact on health, time efficiency, and the reduction of the economic burden on households.
The inauguration of these clean water facilities is in line with PT Surveyor Indonesia (Persero)’s support for the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, particularly in providing access to safe drinking water and sustainable water resource management.
During the inauguration ceremony held on December 5, 2025, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN), through its Center for Sustainability, was present to witness the program’s outcomes and to discuss with the community and village officials follow-up plans in including socialization and education on the use of clean water. The focus of these follow-up actions is on clean and healthy living behaviors, wise water use, and a basic understanding of water facility maintenance, so that the benefits can be sustained in the long term.
UMN’s Center for Sustainability expressed its commitment to supporting this educational process alongside local stakeholders, so that the clean water facilities built through PT Surveyor Indonesia (Persero)’s TJSL program can be optimally and sustainably utilized by all residents.
PT Surveyor Indonesia (Persero) emphasizes that this clean water program is a form of the company’s social contribution to improving community welfare and strengthening environmental resilience. Through continuous collaboration with UMN and other stakeholders, it is hoped that these clean water facilities will continue to have a positive impact on the communities of Kampung Sanghyang and Kampung Mataram.
