Tangerang, (20/10/2026) – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) has officially partnered with Leeds Beckett University in the United Kingdom through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The partnership opens up opportunities for both universities to develop international education programs.
Based in Leeds, England, Leeds Beckett University traces its history back to 1824 and focuses on delivering quality education and developing professional skills. Through this partnership, UMN and Leeds Beckett University aim to create more opportunities for academic development and international experiences for students and faculty members.
“Collaborating with UMN is a valuable opportunity for us. We are always open to working with other universities and have been actively building partnerships with universities across ASEAN in various fields”, said Joe Rossiter, Director of University Recruitment and Partnerships at Leeds Beckett University.
During the meeting, both universities discussed potential areas of collaboration based on their respective academic strengths. Joe believes the partnership could bring valuable opportunities for students and faculty members at both UMN and Leeds Beckett University.
“In the near future, we could start with student and faculty exchanges. We are also open to initiatives from UMN, including joint degree and international acceleration programs. These programs could give students the opportunity to continue their studies while gaining international learning experience”, he added.
The partnership will also explore opportunities for postgraduate students, including those pursuing master’s and doctoral degrees, rather than focusing solely on undergraduate programs. Through this collaboration, both universities hope to develop a range of programs that support their academic goals and meet their respective needs.
Representatives from UMN’s faculties also attended the partnership signing. They discussed potential areas of collaboration that align with each faculty’s academic focus and needs.
