UMN Achieves QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 in Art & Design, Ranked 151–200 Globally
March 31, 2026TANGERANG – Following the success of its international programs, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) once again organized a city tour for its student exchange participants for the Even Semester of 2025/2026. This time, students from Cambodia, India, and Kazakhstan were invited to explore the historical and modern sides of Jakarta under the theme “Cultural Fusion & Urban Wonders.”
The journey began in the Old Town (Kota Tua) area, where students visited the Wayang Museum. Here, they were introduced to the traditional Indonesian art of puppetry, a world-recognized cultural heritage. The students’ curiosity continued as they visited Acaraki Jamu, a modern herbal café that serves traditional Indonesian jamu using contemporary brewing techniques. Tasting the authentic flavors of Indonesian spices was a standout moment for the students from all three countries.
The exploration then moved to the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) China Town area. In this location, students were treated to a blend of aesthetic oriental architecture and a vibrant, modern seaside atmosphere. As international students, they were fascinated to see how Indonesia’s cultural diversity harmoniously integrates with dynamic new urban hubs.
As a spectacular finale, the group enjoyed the Dancing Fountain show. The synchronized water performance, combined with stunning light displays, provided a perfect ending to their journey.
This activity is more than just a sightseeing trip; it is UMN’s effort to provide comprehensive cross-cultural understanding. By combining the traditions of Old Town with the modernity of PIK, students from Cambodia, India, and Kazakhstan are expected to experience Jakarta’s inclusive and colorful identity firsthand.
