Tangerang, (October 28, 2025) – Langkah Membumi Ecoground is an initiative presented by Blibli, held at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara as part of its efforts to support sustainability in Indonesia. The seminar featured the theme “Eco-Conscious Generation: From Awareness to Action.” As a university that consistently supports various sustainability initiatives, this event aligns with UMN’s vision to not only educate students but also take concrete action.
Langkah Membumi Ecoground invited three speakers, namely Jeany Hartriani as Co-Initiator & Deputy Head of Katadata Green, Nazrya Octora as Head of Public Relations at Blibli, Cinta Laura Kiehl as Changemaker Partner, and was moderated by Maria Advenita Gita Elmada, S.I.Kom., M.Si., as UMN’s Center of Sustainability Manager. This activity encouraged UMN students to take sustainable actions, starting from small things that can have a significant impact. The event was opened by Prof. Dr. Florentina Kurniasari T., S.Sos., M.B.A., as Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, and Sustainability.
“I am delighted that UMN can be part of the Langkah Membumi Ecoground program. This activity is a good initiative to encourage students to be more concerned about environmental issues and dare to take concrete actions. I hope that through this activity, students will gain new knowledge and later be able to actively contribute to the environment,” Sari said.
Sari also emphasized that at UMN, sustainability is a way of thinking and innovating. This activity is relevant to the courses of each study program at UMN, and it can encourage students to see how creativity can serve as a language to convey messages and bring about change.
“It is an honor to be able to carry out this program at UMN and invite students to get involved. On this occasion, students can gain a wealth of new knowledge, which will later encourage them to take action and support a sustainable future. For me, it is important for students to know more about sustainability because they are the new generation,” Chiara Irawan, Head of ESG Blibli, said.
Langkah Membumi Ecoground is a program from Blibli Tiket Action and is part of Blibli’s commitment to supporting sustainability. Langkah Membumi Ecoground is not just a program that conveys initiatives but also takes real action. This activity is expected not only to increase students’ knowledge but also to encourage them to take real action through small steps.
Industry and Changemaker Perspectives on Supporting Sustainability

The first speaker, Jeany Hartriani, explained the data on climate issues. Jeany herself explained how the data collected by Katadata Green is managed and transformed into a tool to increase public awareness about climate in Indonesia.
“Looking at existing research, it is clear that most Indonesians are aware that climate change is happening, but the problem is that many still do not understand it. This problem requires more concrete action. A simple example is encouraging people to use public transportation to reduce carbon emissions,” Jeany explained.
Jeany also emphasized that Blibli’s actions were the right move, so that the public would not only be aware of climate issues but also take concrete action. For Jeany, there is still much that can be done, such as encouraging active collaboration with the community.
“When talking about climate issues, what actually worsens the climate itself is the accumulation of all existing issues, ranging from waste, air pollution, fossil fuel use, and small things we do in our daily lives. Of course, there are many challenges we face in educating the public about this issue,” Jeany added.
Jeany also explained that in educating the public, Katadata Green not only presents various data, but Jeany’s strategic step is to visualize the existing data. One of them is by creating an infographic showing that the amount of waste in Jakarta is equivalent to hundreds of Monas. The seminar continued with Nazrya Octora, Head of Public Relations at Blibli, discussing the integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) in business models.
“In carrying out these concrete actions, it is not just a matter of intention, but we make it a principle and bring it to life in our activities, and it is not just about business but also human resources. We have several focuses, starting from waste management, emission reduction, good government data, community empowerment, and various other actions,” Nazrya explained.
Nazrya also explained that in implementing sustainability programs, companies cannot act alone; collaboration is necessary. Nazrya believes that collaboration is an essential foundation. The more extensive the collaboration, the greater the impact of concrete actions will be.
“One of the steps taken by Blibli to support sustainability is implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in package packaging. Of course, this step is not to replace the role of humans, but with the use of AI, material use can be reduced by up to 20%. All packaging from Blibli is analyzed by AI so that the packaging is appropriate and does not produce excess waste,” Nazrya added.
In addition to examining it from an industrial perspective, this seminar also drew insights from Changemaker Partner Cinta Laura Kiehl. Cinta is a figure who is actively involved in sustainability issues, and for her, this issue is crucial. It is not only related to the climate crisis but also to its impact on humanity.
“I am not an expert in the field of the environment, but I care about humanity. If we look at it, many people are affected, and this is the root of the problem. With the environmental crisis, many people are affected by a decline in income, which then becomes a social problem for families. The impact is domestic violence, sexual abuse, and various other instabilities caused by climate damage,” Cinta explained.
Cinta emphasized that environmental issues have a significant impact on humans. It is not just air pollution, but also affects a person’s mental health. An unclean environment will affect human emotions and cause various problems, ranging from anxiety to depression and mood swings.
“We must realize that this issue is very urgent and has a wide-ranging impact. As the younger generation, you also have a big role to play in making things better. Small steps you can take include bringing your own tumbler, reducing fast fashion purchases because the waste is also quite large, and turning off the electricity when not in use. These steps may seem small, but if done by many people, they can become big steps and contribute greatly,” Cinta explained.
Cinta hopes that in the future, more young people will become aware of the climate and humanitarian crisis. For Cinta, the most important thing is not to be interested in the climate crisis, but to have the awareness to take better and sustainable steps, and to humanize humanity by not contributing to the suffering of the poor.
