Tangerang, (30/10/2026) – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) once again held Sustainability Week 2026 with the theme “Beyond 2030”. Held from October 26–29, 2026, this annual event featured four talk shows on different topics related to sustainability, including technology, business, design, and communication. Through this event, UMN invited its academic community to learn more about sustainability challenges and think about what can be done after the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) end in 2030.
Sustainability Week 2026 opened on October 26 with four Sustainability Talk sessions featuring speakers from different backgrounds, including industry professionals, academics, alumni, and students. Each session offered a different view on how sustainability can be applied in various fields.
Maria Advenita Gita Elmada, S.I.Kom., M.Si., Manager of the Center for Sustainability, explained that this year’s theme, Beyond 2030, was chosen to encourage people to think about what comes next after the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) end in 2030. She said that sustainability has become an important topic around the world, and UMN wants to be part of the discussion.
“This year’s Sustainability Week takes the theme Beyond 2030 because it has become an ongoing discussion around the world. With the SDGs ending in 2030, we need to think about what our next commitments will be. Through Sustainability Week, we want to start these discussions early so we don’t fall behind and help UMN’s academic community understand the issues being discussed globally,” Maria explained.
She hopes Sustainability Week will continue to be a place where young people can share ideas, be creative, and work together to build a better and more sustainable future.

Through Sustainability Week 2026, UMN hopes that these discussions will continue beyond the event and become part of the academic community’s everyday lives.
