UMN International Week 2026: Celebrating Culture, Opening Up Global Perspectives

The gong is struck to start UMN International Week by UMN’s Rectorate and the International Office team (Doc. CorCom UMN)

Tangerang (28/09/2026) – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara held UMN International Week, an event organized in collaboration with fifteen countries. UMN International Week will feature a range of activities that showcase cultural diversity and create space for students to gain global experience and perspective.

UMN International Week is an internationalization program organized by the UMN International Office. The program is one way UMN affirms its vision of becoming a world-class university, and it also serves as a platform for introducing students to the cultures of different countries.

“It is an honor and a source of pride for UMN to be able to hold International Week and involve nine countries. UMN is committed to expanding international collaboration, whether in academics, cross-cultural exchange, student exchange, or global research. International Week is one of the platforms where such collaboration can take shape, while also giving students the chance to see and understand the diversity of cultures around the world,” UMN Rector, Dr. Andrey Andoko, said at the opening of UMN International Week 2026.

For Andrey, UMN International Week brings ideas, thoughts, and cross-cultural understanding together. This matters for students, too, so that they can appreciate diversity and have a dynamic learning experience through cultural exchange.

“My hope is that UMN International Week can be a door that opens up broader and closer collaboration with universities around the world. Beyond that, I hope it leads to more ideas and innovative programs that we can carry out together in the future,” Andrey added.

UMN International Week will feature a variety of interesting activities, from talk shows, cooking classes, language classes, and movie screenings to various cultural activities involving 15 countries. These activities are not limited to UMN students; they are open to the general public.
