Tangerang, (11/29/2025) – Amidst the onslaught of technology and ever-changing global trends, universities have an essential role to play in preparing the future generation. UMN, as a university, plays a strategic role in shaping individuals’ futures. Through the regular UMN Open House 2025 event, UMN not only introduces prospective students to its study programs in detail but also showcases its concrete steps in providing technology-based and sustainable education.
The Open House 2025 event provides an opportunity for prospective students to explore their interests in education and the future, as well as to see their study opportunities at UMN. Prospective students and parents had the opportunity to receive direct presentations from each Head of Study Program, testimonials from UMN alumni, and see the facilities and laboratories at UMN. This event was opened by the Rector of UMN, Dr. Andrey Andoko.

Opening and brief presentation by Andrey Andoko (Doc. UMN)
“UMN not only prioritizes quality education, but also follows global trends, starting from the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) as a learning tool, as well as the UMN curriculum, which is designed within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Therefore, students not only learn theoretically but also channel their ideas and innovations into student projects (project-based learning),” Andrey said.
Andrey clarified that humans will continue to face many global trends. With this, Andrey explained that in the future, humans will continue to coexist with technology, especially AI technology, which is now familiar to the public. This encourages UMN to continue keeping up with global developments, while not neglecting soft skills.
“In learning, UMN not only explores technical aspects but also fosters human skills that technology cannot replace. Communication, collaboration, critical and analytical thinking, resilience, agility, and empathy are important for student adaptability. By equipping students with human skills, it is hoped that students will become lifelong learners,” Andrey concluded.
During this open house event, participants took part in a series of sessions, ranging from explanations about UMN’s facilities and advantages to direct explanations and interactive discussions about each study program. Participants were also able to see firsthand the learning atmosphere and facilities at UMN, including student work, laboratories, and other supporting facilities.

“This open house is not only to introduce UMN to prospective students, but also to show how UMN helps prepare and shape the careers of prospective students. This is because, ultimately, their goal is not only to attend college but also to face the challenges of the industry in the future,” Arief Setyadi H, S.T., M.M., General Marketing and Business Development of UMN, said.
Arief emphasized that this is UMN’s commitment to producing professional, accomplished graduates. This is also proven by the fact that 90% of UMN graduates are already working and have become self-preneurs.
“For them to face a career in the industry, they must prepare themselves in higher education, so we provide them with the necessary skills that meet the needs of the industry, both academically and non-academically. Additionally, in terms of costs, some prospective students are high achievers but are constrained by them. We also prepare for them to still get a higher education, one of which is through scholarships,” Arief added.
Arief also hopes that more prospective students will enroll and study at UMN, ultimately gaining extensive knowledge and learning experiences that will guide them into the professional world and help them become accomplished professionals.
