Tangerang – On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara held the “Internship Boost” event organized by the Career Development Center and the Academic Information Office of UMN. This event is aimed at students who will be undergoing internships and attending seminars led by keynote speakers from each company.
This year’s Internship Boost program invited two speakers: Guskara Pradita Prana Arief, Product Owner and Project Manager at Klob, and Zefanya Marshanda Kosakay, Associate Account Executive at Cake. Both brands provide job vacancy services through their respective apps. In line with the event’s objective, the speakers shared insights about the industry with students from the initial to final stages.

“An internship is not just a requirement for you as students, but also preparation for your future careers. The benefits are numerous, and an internship provides real-world experience where you can explore your career path and directly engage with the industry,” Guskara said.
Guskara also outlined various benefits of internships, including applying theoretical knowledge from lectures, developing hard and soft skills, networking opportunities, understanding workplace culture, and building a portfolio.
“What you need to prepare, of course, is a Curriculum Vitae (CV). A CV is useful for companies to learn about you and your experience. From the CV, companies can assess you. Another important thing is the portfolio, so recruiters can see how active you are and what kind of work you’ve done,” Guskara added.
Guskara also shared various tips for students, such as building a portfolio on various platforms like LinkedIn, GitHub, and many others. These platforms are publicly accessible so that companies can assess your activity.
The Internship Boost event also featured Zefanya as a speaker. Zefanya discussed internships and what students need to prepare to start their careers. Zefanya also considers internships important and highlighted several things that need to be prepared, such as during the interview stage.

“This interview is not just about asking questions, but also about how you present yourself and how the company sees and assesses you directly. Things to prepare for the interview stage include dressing neatly and politely,” Zefanya said.
Zefanya also shared various tips for preparing students for the interview stage, such as staying calm and confident, preparing important documents, researching the position you’re applying for, and learning about general interview techniques.
“During the interview stage, recruiters don’t just evaluate your experience but also assess you as a person, so there will definitely be other questions about you during the interview,” Zefanya added.
