Jakarta – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) recently initiated various sustainable collaborations, one of which is with PT Amerta Indah Otsuka. The event took place on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, and was attended by the UMN Career Development Centre team and PT Amerta Indah Otsuka representatives.
PT Amerta Indah Otsuka is a Japanese company that produces and distributes health beverages. It has produced various healthy beverages and foods, such as Pocari Sweat, SOYJOY, Oranamin C, Fibe Mini, and many more.
“Previously, UMN had already established an official partnership with PT Amerta Indah Otsuka. This visit aims to officially extend the partnership and initiate new initiatives focused on sustainability, internationalization, and, of course, recruitment collaboration,” Elfira F. Wahyono, M.Si, Manager of the UMN Career Development Center, said.
PT Amerta Indah Otsuka has already implemented various collaboration programs at UMN, such as guest lectures and recruitment programs. During this visit, Elfira initiated new collaborations, including curriculum matching, career development programs, research and development, and sustainable collaboration programs.
“Given that UMN currently has many programs addressing sustainability issues and implementing various points of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we want to open up collaboration opportunities with PT Amerta Indah Otsuka. This collaboration opportunity is excellent because many student projects can involve the industry,” Elfira added.
Ade Mayasari, Head of Talent Acquisition & Experience, stated that there are many areas for collaboration with UMN, as PT Amerta Indah Otsuka also prioritizes sustainability issues, such as sustainability certifications, which are highly sought after in the industry.
“In the field of corporate communication, sustainability is a crucial aspect. We have already implemented various sustainability programs, such as tree planting with the community, mangrove conservation, and many others,” Ade said.
For Ade, the four faculties at UMN are highly relevant to the needs of PT Amerta Indah Otsuka, particularly in terms of human resource requirements within the company across fields such as marketing, business, design & animation, and engineering.
“Although we are a multinational company that distinguishes us from others, we must get directly involved in the field as employees. We must be hands-on for execution. For me, if UMN students are open to such opportunities, it will greatly benefit the industry,” Ade added.
Ade is also open to other collaborations, such as IT Development programs, seminars, and factory visits for students. Ade hopes that this collaboration can be implemented soon, as there will be many projects in the future, and it is hoped that UMN students can join PT Amerta Indah Otsuka’s projects.
