Tangerang, (12/11/2025) – The Faculty of Communication Sciences (Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi/FIKOM) UMN once again strengthens collaboration through a visiting professor program. On this occasion, FIKOM UMN explored this collaboration with Prof. Jude W.R. Genilo, PhD, Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh. Jude was involved in various programs at FIKOM UMN from December 1 to 11, 2025.
In an effort to strengthen collaboration with international higher education partners, UMN continues to initiate various joint programs. This time, UMN had the opportunity to explore a visiting professor program with Prof. Jude W.R. Genilo, PhD. Jude is an active lecturer specializing in Mass Communication, ICT, Public Relations, Media Studies, and Gender and Communication.
“Through this initiative, I am confident that UMN and ULAB can explore even more collaboration opportunities in the future. UMN is open to various other programs ranging from student and lecturer research, mobility programs, student exchanges, and others,” Prof. Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T., Vice-Rector for Academic and Internationalization Affairs, said in her warm speech.
Friska also expressed her interest in collaborating with various other faculties at UMN. Friska hopes that the visiting professor program can provide valuable knowledge to both students and lecturers. In addition, it is also hoped that this activity can provide valuable experience for Jude.

Jude participated in a series of activities with FIKOM UMN, including giving a guest lecture on December 4. In this guest lecture, Jude discussed organizational communication and polarization. This activity was attended by FIKOM UMN students and discussed communication and media in depth. Read about it here!

In addition to delivering a guest lecture, Jude also participated in a community outreach activity on December 6 in South Lebak with FIKOM UMN and the South Lebak Mitigation Group (GMLS). On this occasion, Jude was the main speaker and discussed the power of storytelling. This training was not only for UMN students, but also attended by SMAN 1 Bayah. Read about the full activity here!
“This has been a valuable experience for me, and of course, there are many things that can be collaborated on with UMN in the future. Mainly in the field of SDGs, both through programs and research. It is hoped that this collaboration can be sustainable and that there will be more collaborations,” Jude said.
This opportunity is very valuable for UMN, not only for strengthening collaboration but also for providing new knowledge to the UMN academic community through guest lectures and joint discussions.
