UMN Achieves QS Rank Asia 451 – 460 and Ranking 78 in South-Eastern Asia (Doc. UMN)
Tangerang – Recently UMN has achieved QS Rank Asia ranked at 451-560 and ranked at 78 in South-Eastern Asia. This achievement certainly reflects UMN’s commitment, integrity and spirit towards world-class university.
QS Rank is a global ranking system for universities, it focuses on quality assessment of education and international studies. QS Rank also has a mission to maximize the potential of higher education to the global community.
“For me this achievement is very impressive, this is the first time UMN get the QS Rank Asian 451-460. We will always try our best to increase the ranking number, there’s few indicator that we have to improve such as academic reputation, employability reputation, productivity on research and publication, including the student exchange number to UMN, and also UMN’s students to other campus that partnering with UMN”, says Dr. Andrey Andoko as Rector of UMN.
As a Rector, Andrey hopes that with this QS Rank achievement it can be a valuable asset for UMN, so UMN can continuously enhance its global reputation. This, obviously, serves as a UMN asset to keep on collaborating with other reputable global universities.
“QS Rank is an educational ranking on a global level and it has such a big impact on UMN and its students. QS Rank is important for new students applicants and also the students itself because they always look up on the universities ranking, on the other side QS Rank is an important benchmark for academic and institution”, says Prof. Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T., as UMN Vice Rector in Academics and Internationalisation.
Friska herself also focuses on enhancing UMN international programs, this other programs include in research collaboration, student exchange, visiting professor, and also joint-research between researchers, thus UMN will be more active on publication.
“I’m obviously very happy with this achievement, I expect that UMN ranking will increase more and more, and UMN can expand their wings to enter the internationalization and enhance opportunities for the entire UMN community. It is my hope that UMN can progress to become a world-class university”, add Friska.
