Tangerang, (21/22/2025) – The Career Development Center (CDC) of Universitas Multimedia Nusantara has inaugurated an industry collaboration with Vivere Hotel. This collaboration will cover internships, full-time positions, curriculum matching, and other career collaborations. The launch also aims to support the programs of both parties.
“This collaboration is not only in the field of recruitment but also as a platform for UMN and Vivere Group to share knowledge, with the aim of preparing UMN students for the world of work and absorbing UMN students. UMN has various programs that Vivere Group can participate in, ranging from Career Day, Campus Hiring, Job Posting, and one of our newest programs, curriculum matching, as a platform between the campus and industry to prepare graduates who are ready to work in the industry after graduation,” Dr. Ika Yanuarti, S.E., M.S.F, CSA., Vice Rector for Student Affairs, explained.
For Ika, collaboration between universities and industry is essential for student absorption in industry and for the development of campus learning. Ika emphasized that this collaboration is beneficial for UMN to continue keeping up with developments and meeting the needs of the industry.
“UMN does not only prioritize good grades and GPA, but we also emphasize soft skills and good character in students. This is important because we believe that with good character and soft skills, we are also preparing high-quality graduates for the industry,” Ika added.
Ika hopes this collaboration will result in a link and match with the industry. Through this collaboration, Ika hopes more UMN graduates will join Vivere Group for internships or full-time positions.
“We are delighted to formalize this collaboration with UMN. We agree with Ms. Ika’s statement that good character and soft skills are needed in the industry. Of course, academics are important, but good character and a willingness to learn are even more important in the industry, especially in hospitality,” Inda Rambu, General Manager of Human Resources at Vivere Hotel, said.
Inda emphasized that Vivere Hotel not only focus on hospitality for its human resource needs but also on various other fields, including information technology, design, film, communication, and many others. This collaboration is expected to fulfil Vivere Group’s human resource needs. For Inda, all four UMN faculties can be involved because many developments will definitely be needed.
“Academia and industry must support each other in the development of knowledge, and industry must align with academia. My hope is that Vivere Hotel can eventually support various programs and needs at UMN. This will certainly benefit both parties,” Inda added.
