Jakarta, Indonesia — In a business world increasingly driven by technology, artificial intelligence (AI) has become the key to accelerating transformation across various sectors. McKinsey research shows that companies adopting AI will require more data scientists in the coming years, as the skills needed in the workplace continue to evolve.
However, despite the high enthusiasm for AI, many organizations—large businesses and SMEs—are still unsure how to implement AI effectively and efficiently. Additionally, McKinsey’s research reveals that many employees hope to take more AI-related training in the next three years. AI is increasingly used in sectors such as sales and marketing, product development, and operational services. This underscores the importance of preparing individuals and professionals to learn AI effectively.
As such, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN), in collaboration with DQLab, has launched the AI Training Center– a practical, relevant, and affordable training initiative. Through this program, participants not only learn theory but can also utilize a chatbot database as a real-world example of AI applications relevant to industry needs. The program also emphasizes time and cost savings, as highlighted by McKinsey, which shows that companies can save time by implementing Gen AI in various business processes.
The AI Training Center bridges the gap between interest in AI and readiness to implement it. Here, students, professionals, and industry players can learn from real-world cases, guided by mentors experienced in addressing the challenges of AI implementation. Additionally, McKinsey research indicates that the general use of AI will boost productivity, and companies implementing AI will report cost reductions thanks to this technology.
Building Inclusive and Sustainable AI Skills
Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) itself places the development of AI skills at the core of its educational vision and sustainability mission. By making AI the main foundation, UMN is committed to producing human resources that are ready to face future digital challenges sustainably. The collaboration with DQLab in this AI Training Center further strengthens these efforts, offering practical, relevant, and impact-oriented training for participants, particularly business leaders and professionals seeking to transform in the digital era.

“In order for us not to be replaced by AI, we must have abilities that are ‘beyond’ AI. Because AI is used in various fields, everyone must have AI usage skills. Since this is new to some people, we must continue to learn, such as through training.”

AI technology has transformed how we search for information and interact with customers. AI-powered search enables applications to understand images, audio, video, and conversations, making data access faster, search easier, and understanding deeper. AI also enhances the customer experience through efficient personalization.
Data from Google highlights two key trends in AI: AI Multimodal, which can process various types of data, such as text and images, to improve analysis and interaction with customers, and AI Agents, which automate business processes and assist human work with multi-agent systems, such as customer agents and security agents.
From Concern to Confidence
The AI Training Center serves as a bridge between interest in AI and readiness to implement it. Here, students, professionals, and industry players can learn from real-world cases, guided by mentors who have navigated the challenges of the AI world.

“We implemented AI through a challenging journey, learning from mistakes and unnecessary detours. After that process, it’s time for us to share and collaborate so others can move faster, more accurately, and with greater confidence.”

Staying Connected to the Latest Trends and Research As part of the DQLab and UMN ecosystem, the AI Training Center does not operate in isolation. It actively monitors global and local AI trends. It collaborates closely with UMN’s research teams to ensure that the approaches, materials, and solutions developed remain relevant to current technological advancements and industry needs.
Through the synergy between practical training and academic research strength, the AI Training Center is not just a place to learn but also a space for individuals and companies to prepare themselves to be part of AI trends, not just chase them, let alone be left behind by them.
The launch of the AI Training Center marks DQLab and UMN’s commitment to actively promoting more equitable, inclusive, and impactful AI adoption in Indonesia. By combining the strengths of education, industry practice, and cutting-edge research, the AI Training Center is poised to become the starting point for anyone seeking to build a future with AI in a more focused, collaborative, and sustainable manner.
